You should be able to put it in with your skate or you shouldn't be able to. There shouldn't be an inbetweeny that is left up to judgement. It should be a high stick that connects or it should be a high stick above the shoulders. Not which way the ref wants to call it that day. And they should be able to challenge calls. Get it right and get to challenge till you don't. |

the Ducks are looking to rebuild into a tough team to play against, and Maple Leafs’ prospect Nick Robertson is a workhorse who just happens to be from Pasadena, California. While Toronto loves his work ethic and determination, when you need a starting goalie, you need a starting goalie. Money is an issue here so Petr Mrazek and his expensive $3.8 million contract would have to make the trip down south, and the Leafs would need to include another mid-level prospect to likely get Verbeek to budge

Well, leafs fans are always pushing how AM is the 2nd best (and sometimes foolishly the best) player in the league.
Honestly drysaddle at 8.5m per and his playoff performance he could be there.
So naturally, they gotta include am in the convo |

200 foot game is only allowed to be added to a players value when not talking about a leafs player

Are we just going to ignore defensive impact? Are we ignoring goals are worth more than points?
Sure debate over it but do not call the debate ridiculous, its a douchy take.
You may not value defence as much as others do(which is weird because I have seen you complain about leafs players not having a 200 foot game) but plenty value on ice impact regarding the whole game. |

McDavid is far more explosive and has a wider skill set. There are some things that Matthews does better. Overall, I give the edge to McDavid but Matthews was better this year and deserves the Hart.
I do think we should base all of our judgments on the two players on McDavid’s play in this last series where the Flames’ defence has, well, gone up in flames. |

Its not weird to say Matthews was better during stretches of the regular season.
If I was starting a team I'd pick McJesus. |

I say no to Gibson. Bobrovsky, Markstrom, Quick, MAF are all out whereas Mike Smith channeled his inner Roloson and is now in the 3rd round.
I think Campbell can do it just fine. |
