Eh, no big deal right now. The regular season means nothing to them and they probably aren't interested enough to overcome their physical exhaustion. They can coast a little bit as long as they rev the engines up again in time to be ready for the playoffs.

If I had a counter going for how many times this team turns the puck over (Girard) in their own zone, it would have rolled over by now I am sure . Puck management , and keeping things simple . It needs to be addressed and fixed before playoffs. Remember the Andre HUGE turnover in game 5 last year that lead to the Avs downfall. If there is no play or it might be even 10% risky....flip it out, dump it along the boards and start again. This is a high flying offensive team that can really light it up , but can try to be too fancy way more than they need to be. Just watch their PP. The NJ game was a bad one but I thought Jersey took that game over and was impressed with their forecheck and it showed they wanted it more in the end. Avs tired? Maybe , but with a 3-0 lead, you have to find a way to nail that one down. I expect a close game tonight in Carolina . Two great teams going at it , and I expect to see the Avs putting a 60 min effort like we are all used to seeing .
