Best of luck, except against the Sharks. Perfect example of million dollar talent with a 5 cent brain....
I wanted for him to succeed in SJ, & by all accounts he was, until the powerhouses in the locker room, Thornton & Pavelski, moved on to their new team(s)...
After that it was Kaner up to his old tricks again... |

Pretty simple. Start a list of all the fans who say they are finished. Then as each one returns laugh and ask what brought them back? That's what I did with people who said they would leave the country if Trump beat Clinton. None of them ever left. All just virtue signaling. |

Or you could try and understand why people feel frustrated with this decision and maybe respect whatever they choose? I'm just spitballing here though. |

Agree on Benson Sean, last game against the Flames I thought he was one of the better players. Tippett’s an old school coach that can’t see this, loyal to a fault.
On another note, good luck with Kane, he’ll definitely add to a already pretty good top 6.
Problem I see is Holland keeps forgetting where the real problems are, and spends more cap that might have gone to a goalie. |

It's not like Shore has even looked good out there on the PK this year. Not sure why he sees the ice at all. |

Kane, undeniable talent, undeniable cancer...
I'm sure he'll be a model player stalwart in the community, for about two weeks. The Antonio Brown of the NHL.
Who's a realistic target in net for you guys? |

Nah, this guy is a complete tool.
Read his poop on the Wings blog, he's a (frank)ing bumhole.
I can see why people hate(d) me because I was A LOT like that. Only difference is, he's a grown ass man acting like that, whereas I was an angsty teenager. It doesn't excuse my past behaviour of course. |

I had originally just thought it was the gambling. Had it been just the gambling, of course he deserves a second chance. Hell, Jagr had gambling issues and he's loved by (frank)ing everyone.
If it were just issues with drugs, he absolutely deserves a second chance. Hell, despite the contract, Kassian is a perfect example of turning his life around. Also look at Ryan O'Rielly, Bobby Ryan or countless others.
Once you add in MULTIPLE cases of potential sexual assault and domestic abuse, regardless of how much better he makes the team, it's crossing a line.
I can take the losing, I can take the constant underachieving, but knowing signing a piece of poop like this is crossing that line. I may still watch (honestly, I watch to watch them lose), but I can say I'm not an Oilers fan anymore. |

I totally understand why people are frustrated.
I totally respect the decision to stop being a fan. That's cool with me.
What is ridiculous are the people who voice all this, but then don't act. They say they are finished but come back during the next win streak. So it's all virtue signaling. Am I the only one who finds that amusing? |

Hope the $1.74 we have left is enough to bring in Mike Liut or Don Beaupre |

Don’t need a goalie when you play the whole game in the other teams end. |

Go tell your wife to read about Kane's off ice adventures and see her reaction. Now imagine every female Oiler fan/anyone who's not a (frank)ing conservative's reaction. People like myself may still watch, but I'm not going to identify as an Oilers fan anymore. Like I said, losing and keeping a terrible front office is one thing, but signing a problematic player who has multiple allegations of abuse is crossing the line.
The franchise is a business, stakeholders are allowed to be upset over business dealings. Kane absolutely makes this team better, but by signing him, they are alienating a large portion of their fanbase.
Stop being a (frank)ing idiot. No one likes you. |

NHL just released a statement that they will not be pursuing any additional discipline against Kane. I feel sorry for anyone who chose to hitch their allegiance to this team this long.

I believe a "For Sale" sign is being posted right now in McDavid's front yard. |

The Flames are officially a more likable team than the Oilers now. And they employ a Tkachuk. |

I'd argue that I at least have merit in my posts. As wrong as I may be sometimes, at least I try to bring decent arguments.

Weirdly enough, I think McDavid (and Draisaitl) is a detriment do this team.
Even weirder, it's not on him, like at all. McDavid and Draisaitl are the furthest thing from this team's issues. The coaches completely misuse them by playing both of them WAY too much. Also the front office thinks they can carry this team in every season, so they neglect the bottom 6.
Either the front office will be completely gone, or McDavid and Draisaitl walk for nothing. It's a sad reality.
