I can't get into sports cards. I did play TCGs but sold them all off. I have friends who do all that sort of collecting. It can be worthwhile but it takes a bit of work.

So the Leafs will play 5 home games with an empty rink, then 50% capacity for 5 more home games starting Feb 24th to March 12th and won't have a full crowd to play in front of until March 15th at best.

Wild - kind of like the schedules for the Canadian teams over that 16 day stretch that was supposed to be the Olympic break.

Either Jack is slumping or regressing and it's absolutely highlighting the Leafs lack of commitment to team defence and/or desire to compete for 60 mins. Granted, Muzzin was out, but if that's all it takes for this team to roll over defensively that's.... bad.

The team has improved(ish) from last year but still has some gaping holes that will need to miraculously be plugged if they're to expect any playoff success.

I remain, as ever, cautiously optimistic pessimistic.

How do you figure 5 games with empty rink? Are you counting games already played?

I googled (I was actually looking to see if mens leagues were starting back up) and this Sun article was the first thing I saw which is where I got that info from.

I suppose you could argue they could have 500 people for the first 5 games which isn't zero but in a rink that holds 19000+ it's close to it. lol

Don't think Risto is an upgrade over Holl at 2.75M(after retention)

Good post, Jack is slumping IMO, and as much as most will ignore, timing and types of goals allowed can affect a team dramatically. The 2nd goal by Reaves in the 2nd period was a stinker IMO, bad angle, Cambpell on his knees and top quarter of the net wide open. The Leafs wilted after that goal and were awful in the third. So you are right about playing for 60 minutes, some goals against hurt more than others though.

Trade for Chychrun

Rielly
Chychrun
Muzzin

Left side.

Win the cup and Muzzin will agree to waive his NMC for an early semi retirement in Arizona

Thanks, I was going by the Provincial Government announcement that restaurants and other public entertainment would go back to 50% capacity January 31st. Not sure on the effect on Leaf games.

Agreed on 2nd goal being a crummy one, he was late coming across and awkward / not set / sloppy and got burned. That being said this team shouldn't wilt due to a bad goal against, especially from a guy who has saved their collective bacon so many times this year.

Chychrun can play effectively on the right side too.

This article is a pretty good overview of what's opening, at what capacity and when as it stands today:

https://www.cp24.com/news...-gradually-lift-1.5747837

The bolded part is the sneaky detail - Sporting events, concert venues and theatres will be able to operate at 50 per cent seated capacity or 500 people, whichever is less

Feb 21st they can have a 50% capacity home crowd and March 14th back to a full house.

Let's hope that we get to those levels without any more set backs.

I didn't know that..

Either way TB has no problems spreading out mins for their 3 elite LDH.

Think ARZ eventually meets in the middle for one of these teams on the price.

They would probably ask for Sandin, 1st and Kerfoot. Knock that down a few pegs with taking out Sandin and adding someone lesser and I think there is a deal to be had.
