Why does your list start with #6?? Are the first 5 thoughts coming later?

Ha Ha. Thanks for catching that. I missed some when I pasted some in the file.

Thanks Kevin. Your writing is always a treat. You take a much more conversational tone and don't try to come across as dictating.

In your experience, do you think that there is a chance/likely hood that a team will end up in Houston/Kansas City/Quebec in the next 5-10 years? I know Houston is the sexy choice of the week. Kansas City also has an existing/recently built arena and a seeming desire to take on a team. And then, there is of course...Quebec.

Thanks as always.

Thanks for your kind words. I actually don't think the NHL is done expanding, although there will be nothing in the near future. I think Quebec City will eventually end up with a team. Houston will probably get one before Kansas City. We've been talking about Houston a long time. It's too big of a TV market and population center to ignore.

I said the Pacific wasn't anywhere near as bad as you pundits thought.

Didn't see Calgary being this good but not surprised by anything else there.

Corsi is easy to align causation to, but it's far too general of a stat. For a while players were playing it, shots on goal just to up their corsi. Not all shots have the same value. Some are made to dump qnd avoid an icing, some are made to force the goaltender to freeze it to get an offensive zone face off, some are defending the line and not giving a turnover and breakaway and some are made with no thought, no screen, no chance of going in from way outside. Corsi doesn't tell you which is which.

What I've learned is that stats are great way to balance the bias we all bring and to make sure what we see is verfiable.

It would be difficult to move Price and Price needs to be stable to continue healing.

Kadri's always been that good. Teams have asked him to fill a role and he has. Also he was playing with some studs.

Good takes. Don't disagree with you on Price. He needs to see where he is at in his recovery. Also, his salary will limit the options to deal him.
