The League should suspend Lemieux for a minimum 20 games, maybe even as much as 40.

Biting... really?

Make an example out of him now.

This is not a Beer League, this is the National's.

As much as I hate the Rangers, I applaud Panarin. He was just doing what everyone else wants to do.

Taking off his skate and swinging at the Rat would’ve been the more Russian thing to do

Didn’t Marchand make fun of Haggerty and call him snacks for just wanting to eat and not actually watch the games? Lol

I guess no one likes him

Gorton is a great hockey man but man, looking at some of those Montreal contracts would make me wanna see what other teams have job openings

He's basically Sean Avery with a ton more skill. But at least Avery would defend himself and not play the victim card.

Oh I was talking about Haggerty, I don't think any of the Bruins players like him either

I'm sure Panarin thinks its the best $5k he ever spent in NY!

I want to wish Jeff Gorton good luck in his new position in Montreal. Hopefully, he will make us an offer on a couple of his favorites: Georgi and Hajek!

If Matt Murray didn't have so much time left on his contract might be a nice reclamation project.

Might be an interesting target if he gets bought out this off season as a backup here.

With all the goalies we have in our system I really hope/think one of them is capable of being a backup and playing 15 or so games a year. With our cap situation, we need to go dirt cheap with backup goalie

True, and I would agree with you.

Matt Murray would potentially be someone you throw a year or two at for the league minimum and possibly a two way contract if that's possible. Just more depth and maybe someone that Benoit Allaire can get playing well again.

Can't believe the amount of effort going into this Panarin/Marchand incident. Marchand chirped Panarin, Panarin threw a glove. The Rangers won the game. The end.

Too bad the glove throwing didn't culminate in a gun duel.

Wilson body slams and face plants opponent = $5k fine
Panarin throws his glove at a player = $5k fine
Lemiuex bites opponents hand twice = $5k fine

Absolutely no problems with the CBA regarding max player fines

Yeah. There's issues here.

I think the fine amount is a joke. Lemieux does stand to lose a lot more through his looming suspension though.

Wilson should have been suspended.

Panarin fine is the only one that sorta fits.

"Can I also say, for the record, that New York Rangers fans might be the biggest crybabies in the league rooting for a team that hasn’t won jack in almost 30 years? I am impressed at the sheer amount of crybaby soup they spill over their hockey team. The cherry on top of the sundae? Panarin was fined $5,000 by the NHL Department of Player Safety just as I said he would much to the dismay of so many screaming, uninformed fans of the Blueshirts."

This is what passes for sports journalism? He works for NBC sports and that's a take he's allowed to have without an editor or someone asking him wtf he is talking about? Are we not supposed to root for our team because they haven't won since '94?

Did anyone point out to him the Bruins have the same amount as cups as up in the past 30 years?
