At least we get to watch McDavid on the early game for a change.

Does anyone else find it interesting that for the first time none of our forwards or defensemen are in the top 10 for points but our goalie is and we're tied for 1st in the league??

Something to think about, no?

If you have a firestick or another way to browse the web on your tv then go to nhl66.ir

You can choose any game and home or sways broadcasting… looks great too

It’s a good sign imo. We seem to have some balance for a change.

19 goals now is all he needs now for 3rd overall all time.

On pace for 70 goals currently this season which would leave him at 800, 1 less than Howe.

Will have 4 more years on his contract after this year. If he gets that many this year he’ll only need 3-24 goal seasons and 1-23 goal season and he will indeed take Gretzky’s first overall spot.

Dats some outstanding math skills right there, Dozzer.
Start to understand how you made it to Ref while the rest of us are just bannable cannon fodder.

Considering arguments are typically started by posters you saying that means people use themselves as cannon fodder lol

I was wrong about him, he's been great this year and it looks farily likely that he'll pass Gretzky as well. Amazing player.

To be fair he’s still a ways off (145 goals to overcome 99) but if he keeps scorin GB like this I can see him do it.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see three powerful seasons then the last two when he’s about 39-40 are a bit lower but enough to get it done.

I would agree, Gretzky scored 894, OV has 748 so I think he needs 147 to pull ahead of Wayne. Gretzky played 1487 games, OV has played only 1218 games and is averaging .614 goals per game. In that 159 games if the average scoring stays the same (a big ask at his age) he would pass Gretzky with 907 goals in 1487 games. He will need to stay healthy and that 259 games is only 3.16 seasons - As you say it might be close, but it is quite possible.

You’re right about the 147… I knew it was 146 to tie and I rounded it down incorrectly for some reason.

And yeah, if he stays healthy I can see him do it… especially if he has 3 powerful seasons still… for instance if this year and the next two all hit 50 that means he’ll only need 14 goals over two years just to tie him.

I honestly think the two biggest a seasons to achieve this will be the current one and next year tbh. I am truly believing he’ll end up past Howe at some point tho. So in my mind he’ll definitely end up as No. 2 all time and there’s a decent chance he may become No. 1

I'm still saying Ovie will fall just short. But even if he does, you could argue that adjusted for era he's already the greatest goal scorer of all time.

I could see him be a touch short after year 5 of his contract as well… but since he’ll only be 40 at that point I could see him signing year long deals for 2 or 3 more to overcome it

But I agree with the all time comment as well… I don’t think Gretzky would have scored as many goals against modern day goaltending. Still dominate, just not as much.

Nope. He's going to score 50 every year until he's dead.

Disagree with you on that Zezel - respectfully of course. Mike Bossy scored 573 goals in only 752 games during his 10 year career. That an amazing .762 goals per game, easily the best for the top goal scorers of all time. He had nothing left to prove after winning four cups in that 10 year career and was a goal scoring machine.
