I figured out the maintenance, they now make the blogs shift down twice when loading to trick you into clicking the actual blog that nobody reads instead of just going to the comments.
That's a bit extreme for what I'm pointing out. If someone puts up high end first line production, it's a different discussion. Let's just speak generically, and say their top forwards put up 55 points. That way Boss can't get upset and any VO joke I make can't be taken too seriously. Are you really looking at a 1st line F, or a middle 6 masquerading? That's what they pay Ventura big bucks for. - Lunaion
What I pointed out (50 even strength, 80 point overall) is the pace Olofsson is producing at this season.
If he holds that pace by season's end, he's a high end top 25 forward.
Lots of season left to determine that, but I'm pointing it out because you made a blanket statement of everyone is playing at a level higher than they should.
If a player produces at a level commensurate with that higher level, then they weren't miscast.
Clearly you're dubious his play through 11 games is indicative of further progression as a player and a breakthrough statistically.
Casey Mittelstadt skated on his own this morning, said Sabres coach Don Granato. Limited time during a morning skate, so they chose to have Mittelstadt get his work in beforehand.
Granato said that Craig Anderson’s injury is a concern because it has “lingered” longer than the Sabres expected.

Through 11 games, Sabres had Jennings Trophy goaltending.
Is Bettman trying to create fake parity that otherwise wouldn’t exist without whale-sized goalies and shutdown tactics being allowed? — RW
This is a solid theory, but I feel like it gives the league too much credit. Yes, they’ve let the sport’s fun factor deteriorate over the decades, to the point where new fans don’t even realize how much better it could be. And yes, they love their precious parity more than you or I have ever loved anything in our lives. So it makes some sense to put two and two together and say that the league let this happen on purpose.
But let’s not go overboard — I think the more realistic explanation is that it’s a happy coincidence. They let the game get boring because of a total abdication of leadership, and then they didn’t fix it in part because it helped create fake parity. At this point, we’re probably a year away from “Every game ending 3-1 with six scoring chances and 40 blocked shots helps keep the playoff races closer” which will be accepted as an indisputable truth by fans and media.
