""He's really truly the architect of this jersey," she said. "He's the designer. And the two of us were co-creators. We certainly had some feedback and some collaboration with others on our team, president Jake Reynolds included. But it starts and finishes with Marty. "

"The black jersey features the word "Jersey" across the front and includes five stripes on each shoulder to honor the five Devils players who have had their numbers retired: Ken Daneyko (No. 3), Scott Stevens (No. 4), Patrik Elias (No. 26), Scott Niedermayer (No. 27) and Brodeur (No. 30)."

"That was probably something a little selfish," Brodeur said.

I think DQ wasn't a great coach, but I think overall he will learn from his first coaching gig. Kakko is probably completely correct in harsh words, and I think if anyone else gives DQ a shot at the pro level, he will do better.

Honestly, just postpone the game. I’d rather that then A) hearing islanders fans give excuses for the loss or, even worse, B) them never shutting up about beating us with an AHL team

Fatso confused ego with eggo, he's had plenty of both in his lifetime

As I mentioned in the last blog, I fully expect B to happen since it's so on brand for us. I don't know what the lineup looks like tonight, but it would almost makes sense to play Georgie tonight so Igor can easily play the next two, leading to a greater chance of B happening.

I can care less is what it is but I think we were past the threshold of a loss being supported by an excuse 4 players ago.

Though I will agree if we somehow, miraculously, won tonight the Rangers deserve an absolute ribbing

For being such fierce rivals, I'd say the general mood between Isles and Ranger fans on this website is pretty reasonable

This would be the perfect spot to call up Huska to be the back up goalie, Barron and Pajuniemi to reward their play in Hartford and see what they've got.

If the game is truly out of hand ( like it should be ) let Huska have the 3rd period to see what the NHL is like.

I think given some of our rw woes, Paj should get a look regardless

Rangers would be well served not to take this game so lightly. Once the puck drops teams have a tendency to pull together in tough times. They better not think they can just throw their sticks out there and win. That goes for their fan base also.

Isles will (or at least should) be about as desperate as you'll ever see a team in November. Next four games are all division games and they could ultimately play a huge role in whether the Isles dig themselves into a hole that's impossible to get out of or start to take steps towards turning their season around.

Noticed how you hyphenated this which I’m assuming is attributed to the complete lack of desperation in their last game. At this point I have no expectations

Gallant hinted at a roster tweak tonight. My guess is maybe Gauthier on the top line, but knows. Maybe pajuniemi, maybe Barron, could hajek play?

I have expectations that they'll lose spectacularly and mild hope that they raise their game and gut a few wins out

I'd say Hunt for Paj, but he's played decent lately. I'm not even sure I'd want to scratch Gaut right now.

Since it seems to be going around with NYR and JT Miller, what do we even offer to make it work? Van would need to retain salary to make it work next year unless we're letting Strome walk/he's part of the trade.

Do you do Kravs + 2nd for Miller with Salary retained?
