Strome and chytil are the concerns at face offs Mika is at 49 and Rooney is at 50 both not great but not terrible. Why not make a play for a guy like Jeff carter ? Could probably get him cheap he’s around 55% on draws .

I dont know how many times Ive said to bring up Pajuniemi. However with Gauthier playing fairly well we may not need him immediately, although Id much rather see him or Gauthier playing with Zib and Kreider instead of Goodrow.

This are the lines Id like to see which I never will.

Chytil, Zib, Kreider
Panarin, Strome, Kakko
LAF, Barron, Gauthier/Pajuniemi
Goodrow, Rooney, Reaves

Ive been saying it year after year we need real centers who can play two-ways and win faceoffs. Its not the end all be all, however faceoffs do play a big role in swinging and taking away momentum.

Agreed on Gauthier or Pajuniemi being a better fit next to Kreider and Zib.

Only problem with getting on the Pajuniemi bandwagon, is how un-Rangers of a move it feels like. New regime, so we shall see, but this organizations MO is generally adverse to giving the young Euro kid who’s had success overseas a quick call up, especially as an AHL rookie.
Don’t have to call him up now, but at some point when he’s on a tear in the minors, try to catch lightning in a bottle. Call him up to the NHL and see if his production translates.

Thats why in the lineup I proposed Pajuniemi is a flex option but theyll without a doubt use Goodrow there before they ever call him up, rather we move Chytil to the LW of Zib. and call up Barron to center the 3rd line. Leaving the 3rd line to have size and some physical but also some skill.
