If the Leafs move one of Dermott/Holl, there better be a rental or two coming in to the D group by the deadline. This group is paper thin to begin with, and far too soft as a potential playoff D group.

I’m not sure if you’ve noticed. Skalapy can’t be encouraged or discouraged. He just exists in some primeval state.

Lots of stuff will happen. Right now they need cap flexibility so they can bring guys back from LTIR and see what they’ve got in the Marlies and then make some moves when ready.

From the guy that just whines and reports people that make fun of Eklund this is funny. What’s the matter Green monster. Is your Iron Maiden account banned?

That was a very solid bounce back game. Also luv it when the Flyers get beaten.

From last blog-

Why can't Mike finish his prospect list before the (frank)ing season starts? It's a little embarrassing that Liljegren is sitting at #7 when he's played more than half of the games this year already.

Finish the list pre-season, Mike!

- mjones242

Even if the list was completed before the season and Liljegren wasn't playing the way he is right now with the Leafs, it's (frank)ing insane to have him listed 7th.

4 is the lowest he should be rated on any list and I personally would've had him at 3 or 2.

It was definitely a solid game and Soupy with the shutout was stellar.

I think Dermott does get moved. I would not be really surprised if Dubas is already working and lining up something here. The big thing is any move needs to bring some cap relief and also a vet solid dman to replace Dermott and keep some depth.

Wrong wing for Mikheyev and he’d hate it being on the defensive line. If he’s put into a shut down role again I imagine he’ll be upset and it will give a bad vibe for the team.

I know everyone loves Bunting but he’s really not anything special. 3P in the last 10GP is not good enough for the top line. Sit him and see what Mikheyev brings to table offensively and then move him right away for the best deal they can get before he’s hurt again.

Wouldn’t hurt to try Miky in the top 6 especially if Bunting finds a home & produces on the 3rd. I’d still give Bunting more time to acclimate as a 3rd wheel.

I notice Louie didn’t slam the extremely weak defensive effort by Jake there.

Sit bunting or move him down to the fourth and rotate him and Ritchie

Don’t break up the primary shutdown role third line who hasn’t been scored on once in their last 6 wins
