Goodrow and Blais was signed/traded for to be grinders and bangers, not play on the first line.

Yeah, I don't like it either. But, we don't exactly have a ton of people stepping up to grab the open spots.
And on paper, our PP2 looks like a joke.
...but, I'm not laughing.

If only they had a first overall pick they could play top 6 minutes. This wouldn’t be a thing if Laf didn’t suck at the moment

This Ranger team is going absolutely nowhere, everyone can see it except management. Unfortunately you can't hire dilitants who absolutely don't understand the game to manage a professional team. WELCOME TO THE NY Rangers.

They lucked out to this point, entirely because of goaltending. And yet they haven't faced alot of the tougher clubs much either. So I'm pretty sure this dynamic is going to go really bad for the Rangers in the long term. I would say this what happens when you let a dilitant run your club. Drury was a mediocrity as a Ranger and clearly continuing to mold the club in the style of game he played.

On what planet would Blais for Buchnevich straight up be a good deal?
Now with the Kravtsov B.S..... clearly management doesn't see the need to play a skilled- fast paced game or players with any sort of actual talent other then ramming a guys face through the boards.

That's about all this team will be good for.

Oh, and last year they couldn't compete with good clubs and they certainly can't now. They're even worse.

Stop the nonsense. They just beat the best team in the league. It wasn't pretty, but a win is a win.

I disagree about last year. I think they were better offensively but they got blown out a lot last year. It’s only 13 games give it some time

The may have overreacted a bit, but trading Buchy had nothing to do with Sammy Blias and everything to do with Adam Fox and Mika. Use whatever dictionary words you want but that is the reality. There was no way they could keep him and everyone, including other GMs, knew that. They got the best deal they could for him. Barclay has won a Stanely Cup, which none of the current Rangers have done, that is why he is here.

Drury was not a mediocre player or a "Dilatant". He had a pretty damn good career before he was a Ranger.

He also wasn't great on this team by any stretch, but Gomez and him had better numbers than most people remember. His first two years were 56 and 52 points, with over 20 goals. Not what we wanted when we got him, but not terrible.

You're spot on about them taking the best deal for Buch. It's only a small sample size, but Buch hasn't exactly been lighting it up either.
