The balance of lines seems to be working
Lindholm is tied in goals and Gaudreau is leading the league in assists |

Shall we chase another goalie from the net? |
|

2 minor details missed, Lindholm is tied with Mangi and Ovi in goals and you can't blame Vladar for the second goal as his mask had come loose on the prior shot and the refs ignored him... |

Thanks Trevor,
Thought the same on Mercer, kept noticing him in the first. Seemed to be the spark all game for the Devils, 18th oa last year. Not getting him out of a rebuilding Jersey team.
Mangiapani is having a monster season, gonna cost some dough, but fuk is he worth it. Gotta give Treliving and company kudos for this, believe he was a 6th round overage pick. Nice job Brad.
Kylington continues to impress me, my buddy Merv thinks he's a defensive liability. Sutter must have an calming affect on him ,even when he makes a mistake he seems to be there to fix it. The speed is good to see back there, sort of
Brodieish.
Monahan looked better tonight, I actually like that Sutter has him on a grinding 4th line, do you think he might be trying to tell him something?
It's only a matter of time til Chucky breaks out big time. He's all around the net, just not lucky.
I don't know about you guys but Gubranson has totally suprized me and in a good way. That little glove in the face of Mercer is exactly what I thought we were getting but he's been so much more. Here's hoping him and Valimaki continue in a positive direction.
To me Vladar looked solid, he fuked up playing the puck on the first goal. His helmet was undone on the 2nd goal. 3rd was a high pressure Devils attack. He looks huge in net, someone said he's 6'-7", and he's played like what, 9games in the NHL? Looks like another good pickup, good job Brad.
Flames are rolling right now, Sutter has them ready to play, there seems to be more contact, I'm liking watching. Keep it up, GFG!

Just like everyone was overreacting with doom and gloom after the first two games, they're also overreacting to Mangiapane. He's not the Flames' best player, he's not going to score 95 goals this year, and his contract isn't going to be ridiculous. He'll probably finish with someone around 30 goals and hopefully can get above 50 points. He'll probably end up with something similar to what Bennett got from the Panthers. |

Mangi with 30 goals will be huge though. Right. |

okay keep the lines balanced, but the PP could be even more deadly with him on the topo unit, he and Lindholm are the two best goal scorers on the team. |

Fun fact: The pick used to draft Dawson Mercer was acquired from Arizona in the Taylor Hall trade.
GM John Chayka gave that pick away as well as forfeiting their 2nd that year and their 2021 1st after hosting a private combine. All of these picks were gone within a window of a few months.
He resigned and tried to jump ship to another organization before he had to deal with the fallout over the private combine, but the NHL suspended him indefinitely from working within the league.
What organization was he trying to join? The very team he sent the Mercer pick to โ the New Jersey Devils. |
