Saw it last night live. First time I have seen a two-handed push from behind is a legal hockey check.

Wasn't that exactly what Zib did to Brendan Dillon late last season in Washington, then took the puck and roofed it short side?

Not trying to be a jerk, just saying....

Possible, need to go look, but didn’t think it was a two handed push in the back. If mistaken, then i should have called it out then

I was thinking it's a 2 handed shove in the back, with the stick only being held by the top hand. Not the typical 2 hands spread wide on the stick using the shaft across the opponents back

Is that supposed to be mocking fox? Because he actually held onto the puck, moved it to his partner, because he’s the best defenseman Calgary will never have haha

Zib had both hands on his stick and led with his shoulder.

Flames are the best defensive team 5v5. They are a great forechecking team as well. Not an easy out if they make the PO which they probably will

Exactly what came to mind for me, too.

Also not sure what there is to get excited about pushing over a guy from behind when he's leaning forward.

If we can get Toews at 50% retained, is it worth pursuing? I brought this up super early in the off-season stating how his experience and leadership is exactly what this Rangers squad needs. It kind of parallel's what we did when we went after Messier. Plus we reunite Panarin with Toew's which may help unlock him again.

Do you move strome or chytil in the trade or move one to wing?

Id move Strome to RW, and Chytil stays where hes at. He seems comfortable as RW on the PP, so why not let it roll. Gives him less defensive responsibility also, which is not a bad thing either.

It would probably cost us a 1st round pick and a prospect or 2.

Hawks hire Jeff Gorton as new GM and he then trades for Kravtsov

Lottery protected 1st rounder. We can’t afford even half that contract next year though

Here are some very team friendly deals for our biggest FAs this offseason. We have a projected $20m in cap space this offseason. Can't even fit these 5.

Fox 9
Strome 6
Kakko 3
Blais 2
Backup Goalie 2
Total 22

On the bright side i think that Shesty contract is going to look very good for us

Our biggest contracts outside of those are:

Panarin
Mika
Trouba
Kreider
Shesty
Goodrow
Lindgren

Who are we moving to clear space? Chytil has $2.3m next year but that's not much
