Shest is better. Both have looked equally impressive, but a deeper dive into
Trotz systems will show you that all goalies had their best seasons under a Trotz system, only to take a step back once in a new regime. Conversely, I believe that Lundqvist was the most pulled goalie all time. The Rags are not a defensive team and their stats are indicative of that. So with that logic, my belief is simply that Sorokins numbers would take a hit if we were to swap their teams around.

Other than that, I cant argue anything. Both tendy's have looked great in this league.

Sorokin has faced the most shots in the league this year so far, 44 more than Shesterkin, and has an identical save% ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If we're talking about the best young Goalies I think Casey DeSmith and Craig Anderson should be considered. Anyone know if Dubnyk is old?

I want to say Shesterkin! I love watching him play, and he reminds me of my favourite goalies. Hasek, Belfore, Joseph, Roy.
But I have been convinced by EK and his performance that Sorokin is the better Goalie, right now!

I'm mostly joking. They're both exceptional young goalies and I don't think the margin between them is all that big.

He had a slow slow start. Then back to back shut outs. Still remains to be seen if he can keep it up or if he reverts.

I’ll give it time before I judge. He got lucky a few times against Vegas.

The whole team had a slow start and hasn't even fully shaken off the rust yet. He'd have shutouts in all three of his wins if they didn't get lazy with 26 seconds left up 4-0 against the Hawks.

His career sample size is admittedly small, but through 28 games he's posted a 2.21 GAA and a .922 sv%
