Clarke is definitely one of those prospects who is done no favors by being held back in the OHL because of his age. Given the kid's drive, I'm sure he will put up monster numbers at Barrie this season.

I really loved that the kings were able to pick him up in the draft. I think the OHL being out last season was really the only reason he fell to 8th and likely would have gone higher if they played. The Kings scouts and management have had an incredible ability to pluck talent that probably should have been taken earlier…Kaliyev, Pinelli, Brandt, etc. Constantly, exceeding my expectations.

His odd skating stride hit his stock harder than no OHL imo. He was ridiculously strong in the Slovakian League despite his age (not a great league obviously, but still a men's league).
