Tatar scored 20 goals in 6 consecutive seasons. Could have been 7 if Babcock wasn’t such an insufferable wiener.

Agreed. He was the only good shutdown D on NJ last season. He is very underrated and you guys just landed a top 4 D for a bargain. He won't disappoint

I think the Avalanche are just one Leo Komarov away from winning the Cup and I know exactly where you can get one

Losing Graves wasn't great and I thought Kuemper was an expensive acquisition price. The lineup is still as good as anyone's. What team is markedly better? Murray is a nice signing and if they added Tatar on a short term deal I'd be impressed.

I'd look into a Drouin vs Compher swap if I was Sakic. Drouin needs to gtfo of Montreal and could be a nice top 6 winger if Mtl agrees to retain 1M$.

If this means MacDermid doesn't have to play every night, this is the deal of the off season for the Avs.

Sources say the Avs are already in contact and this is what Sakic had to say;

Sakic was offered both Saad and Crawford for Byram in 2019-2020 season. Sakic said no and you guys lost to freaking Dallas in game 7 cause both of you goalies were injured...

Which lefty will play on the right side of the D? EJ can't really play top 4 minutes, it's not viable. Especially if MacDermid is the 3rd pairing RD.

I mean there has to be a point here, right? You wouldn't have said anything unless you had a point. So because we didn't trade a potential top 2 defenseman for Saad and Crawford he ought to have learned a lesson and trade for Leo Komarov today? No thanks then, and no thanks now. What makes you think if they just had a capable goalie that they win anything more than they did? The whole team was not good enough to win the cup in 19-20, so it hardly matters because today Saad would still be gone, Crawford would still be retired, and in this scenario we wouldn't have Byram. Thankfully this never happened.

Probably Toews - Makar stays together. Then you're probably going to have Girard - Murray or whichever of the two can comfortably swap sides. Byram - EJ make up the third pair. MacDermid probably only subs in for EJ here and there for muh toughness.

I guess this is it. Good solid D as is, but one big injury away of being really vulnerable.

Can we shoot people who suggest Drouin to Colorado yet?

They gotta get Marty Frk too and put the whole Halifax line back together.

This is the guy the Wild should have signed. Good move. The AVs aren’t going deep into the playoffs unless they replace the secondary scoring they lost from Saad and Donskoi.

I was hoping St Louis would have picked up Murray. Good pick up for the money.
