Love the new additions of Boqvist and Bean on the backend... young offensive minded players that could infuse said offense throughout the entire lineup. I wouldn't be surprised to see a step forward from Gabriel Carlsson this year as he seems to be projecting in that big stay at home defensive type. Hoping Peeke could do the same but that's a lot to ask! Keep it up Kekalainen!!

Did not see a whole lot of Columbus games last few seasons, what should we expect in Philly from Atkinson?

Streaky scorer, may have a 5 game pt streak, then invisible for 3-4 games; not a play driver, but good complimentary player; needs someone to get him the puck.

so just to be sure, we're all confortable with Roslovic -Texier-Jenner -Kuraly/Stenlund as center depth going into this season (sounds like we're bringing a knife to a gun fight )

I would agree with this, deadly shot and great in the paint and in tight. He is a second line player on a Stanley cup contender. He needs someone else to drive the play.

Not at all, would have loved to get Sam Reinhart... but we can't afford to spend our 2022 1st rd pick. It's being touted as one of the best drafts in recent memory!

Zak - were you watching the same player we were ?? Saying he's a stud is pretty strong. Maybe 3-4 years ago, but not now. There was a lot of coasting around. Throw February out and he was below par. When he wasn't scoring there was moping around. Being one of the "elders" on the team, you expect some leadership - winning or losing. But he said he was tired of the losing - temporary loss of memory of the past 4 years of playoff hockey, I guess.
Geez - a leader is supposed to show some energy on the ice, every shift. Cam probably knew Jones was leaving, and he just didn't want to be part of the solution. Nor would he at his age, as it's a couple of seasons away.
He was great for what he's done in the Columbus community, and will most likely do something similar in Philly.
But the time is past for that core - Foligno, Savard, Atkinson. Jarmo is doing pretty good at putting a new core together.

Thank you all for the answers. Looking forward to him, Seems to "shoot" which is something Philly was missing. Jake has all the skill and great size, you wish he would shoot but he's a pass first. Might work out good with that Finnish kid
