The Predators have embraced a competitive rebuild, meaning they will try to change over the team while still trying to make the playoffs.

Completely delusional. Can anyone identify a single time a team rebuilt while staying competitive?

Minnesota will be lucky to get the 8th seed.

Hey, you had an entire thread about Evander Kane, you think you could say anything about his responses?
You just another guilty till proven innocent guy?

Not saying I agree with the approach, but yes I can. Minnesota did it over the last 2-3 seasons changing over most of the core. Montreal as well to a certain extent.

Again, I think it’s a fools errand that just kicks the can down the road and both MN and MON will regress. But so far they have made believers out of doubters.

I am a Wild fan but I have to say Dallas Is the 2nd best team In the Central and they do have 3 starting goaltenders on there depth chart so you know they are not done dealing yet.

Last season the Wild caught Lightning In a bottle, They were playing non playoff teams nearly on a nightly basis, Today they are not a playoff team, Kiprizov Is also dragging his feet with signing a new deal with Minnesota and the sticking point Is a top tier center.

MIN hasn't won a game in the 2nd round in 7 years. They haven't rebuilt anything, just reinforcing their perpetual mediocrity. Which is exactly what happens when teams don't commit to competing or rebuilding. MON needs to do more than this Cinderella run to prove they aren't a fling.

Dallas Stars: With Tyler Seguin and Roope Hintz healthy, the Stars are improved over last season. Adding Ryan Suter strengthens the defense. It would help if we knew more about Ben Bishop's health. Goaltending might tell this story this season. But they are among four teams competing for the final two playoff sports.

I think you mean playoff spots, not sports.

More importantly, there is no assurance that 4 teams from this division make the playoffs. That isn't how things work. Could be 3 teams. Might be 4. Could even be 5.
