Which sucks, because if Fleury plays great, Hawks will be in playoff contention and won't want to trade him anyways, OR, if he plays terrible and the Hawks are outside the playoff picture then we probably wouldn't want to trade for him, or sign him in FA next offseason

Same goes with Jarry, if we have a glaring need at goal, that likely means Jarry is playing mediocre/poorly and wouldn't have any trade value without a sweetener as a cap dump

Best hope was a Jarry/??? for Fleury with *some* retention by the Hawks right now when Fleury was being noncommittal

In his defense he did put Jarry/???. Which would insinuate the sweetener. However, I'm not seeing a Fleury deal go down.

If only CBJ's GM wasn't stupid enough to take Voracek off the Flyers' hands. He is the antithesis of what Flyers fans like in their players - a lazy, washed up coward (a coward for beating up Scuderi years back). With Thornton and Pavelski gone and Marleau unequivocally over the hill, I think the Sharks are finally going to turn the page. They shouldn’t be interested in a guy like Zucker, and we shouldn’t be interested in Kane either. He’s beyond just a kid cutting up and having fun with his money. He’s now in his late 20s and still in and out of legal issues.

Yeah...9 more points than Atkinson with 1 less PPP than him last season in 3 less games. Also better at 5 on 5 by pretty much every metric. His cap hit is too high but I dont think man for man this swap made the Flyers much better IMO.

There are other names available like Gusev, Palmieri and Parise. So unless Hextall just wants to swap Zucker out for one of those guys to make space then whatever I guess lol. I think the ship has sailed in terms of UFA's who would be a major upgrade at this point.

At this point unless he signs for like $1M I think the Pens should shift their focus to one of these bargain centers to fill in at 4C like Anisimiov, Soderberg, Bozak, etc... At least I'd assume they'd be bargains, but I think getting one of them around $1Mish for one year should be the main focus. Losing McCann and Gaudreau really hurt the center depth and the wrong time.
