Also, its good to see all the things Dubas has done now. It was kind of ridiculous to judge him on the first day.

Funny how things work out? Also, it's amusing that we pretty much swapped goalies with the Canes.

I think it's almost certain that Dubas isn't done yet. I half expect him to trade Kerfoot and pieces for Rakell (retained). And trade one of Soup or Giraffe for a mid-round pick.

(still not quite happy with our 3rd pairing, but that could be shored up in-season)

Gabriel and Brooks are Marlies bound which should help.

I also expect one of Soup and/or Engvall to be gonzo soon.

It goes without saying that there is plenty of time before the season begins for roster adjustments. But methods to become compliant include:

1. LTIR if there is a long term injured player
2. Trade
3. Re-assign 2 players to the minors

Yup! Plenty of time to get things all sorted. No reason for the Leafs to be paranoid about the cap at this point -- it always works itself out.

Thats a lot of men in the press box.

The Ritchie signing is one I like. He’s a big body with some finishing skills. Guys in Boston say he’s a bit of an idiot on the ice though, hopefully that gets straightened out.

Dubas must have screwed up... Ritchie is far too tall and far to heavy to play for the Leafs. But I stand corrected... they are probably going to flip him for Petan... need to get that guy back right away. Pair Petan and Malgin with Kerfoot... perfect Maple Leafs shut down line... 3 midgets whipping around the outside of the ice... not able to get near the net.

thankfully you don't have to wait for this season to play out... Dubas already accomplished exactly that with the loss to Columbus
