I like the Richie signing.
I hope it pans out.

Do they go after a Dman now in trade for upcoming UFA Dman?

Fire Dubas

Everything is (frank)ed

Puck over glass puck over glass puck over (frank)ing glass 4 forwards 40 million

Blow it up, tank and rebuild PROPERLY

I don't want Dubas fired... I want him to have to stick around and fix the mess he created. I want the arrogant sob to publicly admit that his "CAPmagic" approach to building a team simply hasn't worked... and that the entire mantra about draft for skill and trade for will also hasn't worked. It would also be refreshing if he would allow himself to look at prospects and reclamation projects who didn't play for the SSM greyhounds - and it isn't necessary for the coach to be taller than all of the players.

I'm guessing Marner or Tavares go on LITR for most of the season. Tavares to get over the lingering effects of the concussion, Marner to allow his bruised mangina to heal and give him an opportunity to re-create his entire social media presence... which could take a while.

thankfully you don't have to wait for this season to play out... Dubas already accomplished exactly that with the loss to Columbus

missed the playoffs "technically" and lost the first playoff series.... so check that baby off your list

Except no, those were playoffs, the stats are all official NHL playoff stats.

Say what you want about the guy, but he's honestly never struck me as arrogant.

The Ritchie signing is one I like. He’s a big body with some finishing skills. Guys in Boston say he’s a bit of an idiot on the ice though, hopefully that gets straightened out.

The Leafs need more of that not less. We need hits, scrums, face washes and cross checks in front of our net...lots of cross checks in front of our net.

The problem the Leafs have is they play TOO clean/soft all year, as soon as one guy does one thing it's the worse thing the refs have ever seen from the Leafs and it's called immediately.

More guys doing stupid shiit so the refs think "we can't call everything on the Leafs side" ....kinda like they do for other teams against us.

The whole dynamic of the on-ice Leafs needs to change to grittier so we can be rehearsed and survive come playoff time.

I love the Ritchie signing, it's exactly what this team needs. If we could move Engvall+ for another gritty #6RD, this team could a bit better next year...can't believe I just said that.

Take some LTIR salary and a RHD for Engvall and could be interesting.

Ritchie, Marner, Nylander
Bunting, Tavares, Marner
Kase, Kerfoot, Micheyev
Spezza, Kampf, Simmonds
Gabriel (plays more on nights with a22holes on the other team)

Rielly, Brodie
Muzzin, Holl
Sanding, BAD ASS
Dermott

Campbell
Mrazek

Who could we get for Engvall + to fill the 6RH???

A cross checking net front maniac type????

Marner double shifting and playing 1c, hmmmm.

Ritchie will be 3rd line I think...

Also a good chance Engvall is better then Kampf and he’s already better then Simmonds.

Just saying he didn’t give Kyle a SOO discount

2.5m is ok, but need to trade someone now
Probably King Alexander 😔

- mr.sir

Nah,

engvall was an RFA ..under control.

Ritchie was a UFA ...open market.

Plus Ritchie's resume is much better than Engvalls to date.

B's walked from Ritchie b/c they feared he get 3M per from Arbitrator. He was always going to be more than 2M. The best part of the deal is that it's only 2 years. If he sucks it's not very punitive.

I think he's looking to set up a line that can take heavy D-Zone starts. Kamph at centre with a pair of responsible wingers. The other bottom line will be Spezza and Simmonds and you keep them away from the D-Zone.

Ker/Mik-Kamph-Kase
Bun-Spe-Sim

Also, I doubt they carry Dermott as the 7th. At 1.5 he's too expensive. Play him or trade him. Biega or Lilly are cheap 7th D guys.
