Holland needs to go. With all of the big names moved yesterday the Oilers couldn’t even get in on the action because we wasted our cap space and assets on a 38 year old defenseman making 5.5 million per year. Not to mention a 2 year contract to a 39 year old goalie. We have the franchise goalie that we need fall right in our laps and then trade down to take a player that probably tops out as a 3rd liner. We let our best defensive defenseman walk for nothing when we were already weak defensively. This organization is in a lot of trouble. I can’t see us making the playoffs this season and when that happens who knows if one or both of McDavid/ Draisaitl want out. This clown is right on par with Chiarelli and I don’t ever see us winning a cup even with 2 of the best players in the world.

So let’s see
RNH for the next 8 years. Never lived up to the hype
Lost Larsson
Traded down and passed on one of the best goalie prospects compared to Knight and askarov?
Getting Hyman 7 years and over 5 mil AAV? Reminds me of the lucic deal years ago
Resigned smith 2 years at 2.2AAV?
Took on the full cap for Keith?

This is why mcdavid will be leaving when his deal is up or force a trade.

Sorry Holland, in my opinion just brutal. And as a leaf fan, dubas is brutal as well.

One thing for sure is we can all thank Kevin (I know a thing or 2 about winning) Lowe!

I hope it works out for Hyman and Edmonton.
His career high is 41 points, so it seems like a lot of money and term.
One thing is he will work hard every shift, but be clear he is more will than skill

Wallstedt isn't a sure thing and is at least five years away from making an NHL start. Instead Holland gets back a third round pick and another skilled forward who could play centre or wing within the next couple seasons.

All of the preemptive speculation about McD/Drai wanting out is some limp Richard loser bullpoop. I guess some people just wanna drown in the tears of their own pity party.

But yes, I’m not impressed with Holland of late either.

Sorry, AMEN to this!

Also, what are the chances of getting Savard in to replace Larsson??

Savards on a lot of teams radar especially after saying he doesn't mind playing in Canada. He's going to get overpaid and will probably be priced out of Edmonton unless Holland can move some salary out.
You guys still need a backup goalie so buying out Kosk is only going to give you a bit of relief. I heard Pittsburgh may be interested in Kassian, if Holland doesn't take salary back, that could definitely help. Speaking of Kassian is it true he's only scored 5 goals since Tkachuk messed with his mind?

Savard isn’t a top 4 D man. Someone will overpay thinking just that. Savard looked good on the 3rd pair for TB playing 14 minutes. If he’s playing 20+ on a 2nd pair, his team is gonna pay a price performance wise for those extended minutes.

Trade Kassian and Koskinen to Arz for nothing.
You'll have to add some picks, but they're a dumping ground atm.

Thanks for making Vancouver look good.
Not an easy task.
