Ek-no way. This is not Phil Esposito at the helm. It's not about a big name. Tarasenko doesn't fill any of the Rangers needs. Yes, he's friends with Panerin. Yes, he's a big name. Rangers want to be tougher to play against. They want to get better at center and add a veteran left defenseman, probably to play with Nils Lundkvist.

So far Drury is 0-2, blew the Buchie trade and then the pick! This smells of Sather who will drag the Rangers down. He never forgave and willl never forgive the Rangers for cutting him back in the day.
