Buffalo Not Getting Traction on Eichel. Given the current health situation with Jack Eichel, the Sabres aren't getting any team to step up and pay their asking price. There are teams ready to pay quite a lot, but I don't see a deal getting done until either the Sabres come down off their current asking price OR Eichel gets a clear bill of health.

Will Eichel sit out and not even report? i'm sure he could get some type of medical thing saying he's hurt that would insure he had to keep getting paid

Sabres might as well ride it out, suck another year and either have Eichel come out at 100% and trade him when he does, or just cut bait and LTIR him for life if he never recovers

If all they are getting is low ball offers, then there is not point in moving him now

I don't blame any team for not "ponying up" on a huge ask with so many question marks

Why would he do that? Just has to stay injured, go on LTIR and never has to skate for another Sabres team again. Checks will keep coming in though

I laugh when they say Buffalo is asking too much all the GMs want is a great deal so everyone can say how savy and awesome they are. They want to fleece each other so big deals hardly ever get done. This combined with no GM wants to "lose" a trade so the demand is super high and no one wants to compromise. Teams all want a #1 center and want to trade a 5th round and a old used up veteran for it.

Disagree. GM's pay the price when the player is worth it. They don't d!ck around. Buffalo overestimates the market for Eichel. Simple.

I see so he will just retire or sit for 5 years is your theory since Buffalo has him for 5 years.

You claim this is the way to never play in a sabres uniform again.

Bold move.

Sabres gotta move him this year before his NMC kicks in and he can dictate where he goes.

I read the TSN story on Eichel too. Maybe the hold-up is NYR waiting for his medical records. Someone needs to put more paper in the fax machine. Then the dominoes fall...

Eichel to NYR
Jones to Colorado
Landeskog to St.Louis
Hall to Calgary (sIgn aNd tRaDe by Bruins. Hall was born in Calgary)
But keep your eye on Ronnee Frances.

Eichel is skating and training right know, teams are trying to low ball. He does not need to be traded right now. Price only goes up from here especially when he plays the year.

This is fake news, many teams are highly interested in EIchel, and he will be traded before the draft starts. Dark Horse surprise Eastern Conf team in the mix according to Dreger as well. Pittsburgh....?

Trading Eichel and Reinhart never made any sense to me. Eichel wants to play for a contender. No contender can afford him and has future assets to get him. So he'll go to another struggling rebuilding team. From the Buffalo organization's perspective, Adams is hoping to get trade packages for their young 1C and 2C that might develop into a young 1C and 2C.

Yea, that’s no big deal. The longer they have him the more the Eichel camp will back down and give the Sabres a longer list of teams. Jacks leverage isn’t as strong as it seems.

There is a MAJOR reason as to why the Sabres are NOT releasing medical records...and it is likely NOT because of the neck. There may be something else going on here.

I never claimed anything, just maybe he doesn't like playing Hockey in Buffalo.

I also don't think he will be sitting for 5 years. Buffalo will trade him, they will not get what they want for him, but they also aren't going get nothing either.

Or he says trade me to ______ and sits until it happens. And every day longer it takes the acquiring teams offer lowers knowing he is only willing to accept a deal to that one team.
