Penguins Making a Big Pitch for Marc Andre Fleury Freddy Andersen is also on the Penguins' radar, but Fleury is the key player that Hextall and Burke want. Will Vegas move him is the question?

Now they'll end up with Lehner.

Vegas moves Fluery, and then Vegas trades for Eichel.

I don't see the Pens going all in on Fleury or Vegas trading him away unless they have a new face of the franchise coming in.

The Pens will likely need another team involved to make cap space work. Thinking it would need to be Jarry going to Vegas and Pettersson going to Buffalo with whatever else it is Vegas would have to give you guys.

Vegas wants a #1 Center (Rhino not really a #1) they can win in the regular season without Eichel so they could pull a Kucherov and put him on LTIR until his neck heals and roll him out next spring for the play offs.

& Hextall just had a PC saying they aren't in it for any big players, because they are tight to the cap & can't take on any salary

Well Hall didn't go back home to Calgary.

And it doesn't look like Gaudreau is moving to Philly.

But MAF back to Pittsburgh never gets old. I would say hi to Burke and Hexy but I'm guessing they're too busy to stop in today. But maybe not. Hi kids.

I can't see Hextall thinking any older players are worth the cap hit or any form of investment at this point. He got Carter for a steal and knew he'd probably retire if he didn't return to form.

Fluery for Jarry straight up would be the most risky thing I could see Hextall willing to consider, but specifically because Fluery is an UFA next season. Trade for Flower, dump goalie salary, have some freedom of choice next summer?

Trade for Fleury, extend him for a cheap deal and he retires as a Penguin

Marc Andre going to Seattle to be with the other Fleury's.

They're gonna get all of them, like collecting Staals or Sutters

Makes zero sense for the Knights. They have cap space and can add without moving Fleury. He's a huge insurance policy in net. Like the Pens found out. Without him they don't win a Cup in the Crosby era

He is the reason that the Pens did not win more Cups while in Pittsburgh. Team Canada never trusted him, Matt Murray with no experience led them to 2 Cups Head case Fleury screwed his team this year when he made that horrible gaffe in the game they had won against Montreal That turned the series completely around. NO Thanks to the head case MAF

Completely untrue. Fleury was average in 2009. He was inconsequential and started a single playoff game in 2016. Definitely deserves some credit for 2017. His best PIT postseason was 2008.

Fleury had some tough years but Pittsburgh doesn't win any of those cups without him because as soon as Murray had to handle a full starter role, he buckled.

I'm not saying the Pens should chase him but Jarry just put on one of the worst playoff performances in modern history. They need to find someone different.

Disco Dan is the reason that the Pens did not win more Cups while in Pittsburgh. Team Canada had better goalies to choose from, Matt Murray with no experience and a much better Head Coach and complete team led them to 2 Cups Vezina Winner Fleury screwed his team this year when he made that horrible gaffe in the game when Vegas, despite 45 shots didn't put them away beforehand, against Montreal That turned the series completely around when the Knights were still unable to score regardless of who was in net. NO Thanks to the head case Jarry . Welcome Home Flower!

I felt that Rutherford never internalized that for Free Agents, the acquisition cost was already built into their contracts. The only reasons to give up significant assets for a FA sighing are
1) the contract is a bargain
2) the other team retains salary
3) there is some urgent need like a playoff push filling a key need

So Vegas wouldn't move him to Pens last year and now that he won the starting job and Vienza, he's available To a team with little in the minor leagues and less cap space? Makes sense, especially since Fleury said that he wants to stay in Vegas and Hextall said the Pens aren't making a big named move...

Oh wait, you're just getting last years news now? That's the only way this rumor makes any sense...
