Pay Seattle Gourde and one of Killorn/Palat for them to take Tyler Johnson. They're going to take Gourde anyway and this gets around Johnson's NTC. Dumps $15M in cap hit immediately. |

Is Foote a bust? Sometimes it may take longer for dmen to develop, too soon on bust category yet |

Cal Foote is 22 years old. He's living off being a first round draft pick (#14 OA) and his father being Adam Foote. |

And, yet, as Ohio goes, so goes the nation.
...except in the last election where Trump won Ohio in a landslide and lost the electoral and popular vote. |

Absolutely agree. The same way GMs refused to "help" Tampa's cap situation last season. A brilliant plan that totally worked for them. |

Yeah it’s to the point where you wonder if his foot speed hasn’t improved yet will it ever? |

If Barb Underhill can't fix that, then it's unfixable.

$5.1m in sweet sweet cap relief.
Would have rather Johnson, but you take what you can get.

I think the play now is probably to find a way to move one of the top-six wingers to solidify that third line again. Otherwise, it's an awful lot of pressure to put on a big group of kids. |

Agreed. Our Grind Line is toast. Goodrow gone to NYR. Gourde gone to Seattle. Coleman is as good as gone, unless he agrees to play for peanuts to stay.
I was skeptical of Gourde's contract when it was announced, but he has since won me over. I hate to see him go.

Unless she has a chisel to knock the concrete out of his skates she won't be be able to help. |

I like your optimism on this and while Barb is the best at what she does she is not a magician. Watching him skate is so painful, I just don't see how he will be able to fix it.
