I'm sure we're kicking the tires on Suter but is it a legit possibility? LHD I believe. Is he top pair material still? Veteran guy would help Provy.

The Flyers are on the list of pre-approved destinations.

Bill,

a couple of days ago we kicked around a straight up trade of Jake for Tarasenko. With the injury risk clearly sitting on the Flyers, do you see that as a viable trade option for Fletcher to look at?

Thanks and appreciate you answering the question from yesterday on what changes were make in the staff.

Oh for sure, but you would think based on what some people post that no one would ever want to come here!

I don't know the full extent of Tarasenko's shoulder injury but let me speak from experience. I separated my shoulder when I was playing high school hockey. I went to the hospital and they put it back into place and told me I needed surgery. I opted to have the surgery, but my shoulder kept popping out.

They gave me another surgery, this time they put two pins in my shoulder. It still kept popping out. I seen another surgeon and he said that my two previous operations were incorrect, he wanted to operate and make it so my arm couldn't go above chin level. I declined, just can't play competitive hockey anymore so I focused on coaching. I was told there's pretty much nothing left but some scar tissue separating bone to bone in my shoulder.

Shoulder injuries are very serious and can absolutely kill a career. It sounds like Tarasenko has already had a bad surgery and is still having issues. I'd stay away from acquiring him even if we dump a salary in the deal. I also hope Frost has a successful recovery and is ready to advance his career this season.

That's the ONLY way I'd take Tarasenko.

Tarasenko .. no Thank you!
Dumba ... no Thank you!
Suter ... no Thank you!

I don't want the Flyers to pay through the nose in assets and cap space for aging veterans whose best days are behind them. Fletcher needs to spend only on players in their prime that can help this team for many years to come. Otherwise clear space, sign a few stop gap FAs and continue to draft and develop.

Yandle bought out. You just know he’ll sign in Boston for dirt cheap. I

I’d say he’s legitimately better than at least 4 of our D men still. He’s old tho and really nothing more than a bandaid. Anything more than a two year deal would be absurd.

He should just go chase a cup elsewhere imo.

Neither of us know that. I do know they have to pay Nurse after next season and don’t have many forwards signed

Not sure, the Bruins just signed Carlo for 6 years, $4M+ per. However the Bruins do have a ton of cap space right now.

Nope, Larsson is a FA and I still want him. And regarding Ekholm, I say no on him if the Flyers sign Larsson, because I do think the Flyers need a PP QB in their top 4 given I believe Ghost is gone and York will most likely need more time to develop.
