Meh. Who cares who lights what up. Or what the government has to say.

Go Knights.

Good blog Mike, no way in hell I will cheer for another Canadian team especially Montreal. On another note are you going to any of the Buffalo Blue Jays games? Vladimir Guerrero JR is just crushing it.

Happy for Habs fans to see their team enjoying some success. Personally I am a big fan of Carey Price and a part of me is rooting for them.

I can't cheer for the Habs, sorry but they aren't Canada's team. I wouldn't expect Habs fans to cheer for the Leafs if the roles were reversed.

I can handle Niagara Falls being lit up. CN Tower is just wrong.

On a side note, it's nice to see all these new Habs fans (trolls) joining our Leafs blogs.

If they could just get another top end starter this team would be a legit post-season threat.

Habs are not Canada's team.

But getting upset over this is silly.

Habs are just the North division champions. Nothing more.

UNTIL THEY WIN THE CUP! WOOO!

Why is it silly? I think it's perfectly acceptable for fans of other Canadian teams to question the stupidity of calling any one team "Canada's team".

Anyone think the current federal government led by a self proclaimed Habs fan who actually went on tv and laughed at Leafs fans would be tweeting about the Leafs being "Canada's team" if the Leafs were the last Canadian team standing?

Unrelated but after watching game 1 last night it's clear to me that Canadian teams (and fans to some degree) got ripped off playing in empty or nearly empty arenas in rounds one and 2. I can't imagine how much of a difference it makes for the players to get to play in front of their own fans.

There is the silver lining in the Leafs being knocked out I guess, we won't have to complain about that, nor will anyone be able to chirp about a cup being won because of a weak North Division and that the win should have an asterisk beside it.

Funny how all that talk all but stopped the minute Toronto was out. Price to pay for being the centre of the hockey universe I guess?

There it is, the classic, "don't you have more important things to worry about?" fallacy.

Must have been nice for the players to finally play in front of a full crowd though. Even if they were cheering for the other team.

Its not the starters, its the bullpen.

Oh, please.

There are gradations of "feeling" on this topic and the amount of "time" and "energy" being spent is very little (at least, for me).

Having said that, you seem to have spent some time and energy yourself criticizing those who are complaining about this topic. Don't you have better things to worry about, Scabeh?
