So looking forward to the off-season. Hopefully Benning looks at Tampa for a 3rd line centre. Tyler Johnson would be a steal of a deal and should only cost a 3rd round pick.
Benning is real good at robbing teams of there expensive talent, could be 3 straight years of Benning robbery.

I think you may be using traits wrong, unless you are referring to just one person.

This pressure style reminds me of the great teams of the 70s in Boston Flyers Habs and then the Islanders.

Not the fastest bunch but have played well together & produce. More depth & balanced scoring. Boeser can play with JTM & EP double shifting all 3. Pod & Hog can replace him then.

3rd line hard to assess til a true 3C added. Here goes anyways.

Good energy & speed needing a C to make it effective. 200’ playmaker be best with size.

Motte Sutter Lockwood

Speed & tenacity on the wings. Sutter if cheap 1/1m. MacEwen platoons & Lind if he can take the next step.

Why is it unfair to knock Sutter? You yourself said he can't stay healthy. He's not fast. He's not physical. He's old(er). He's not putting up points. Sure, he PKs and takes faceoffs, but other people can do that too.

And I already said, he can be replaced by Graovac. I also like Wennberg (but that is more 3C), Nosek, Haula... I'm sure there are going to be guys on the market both trade and buyouts that will be available that are better than Sutter.

What I find interesting is when rosters get built by ACGMs and you see Highmore Zack Motte Sutter Lind or whoever on it . You can't have change unless you move on from players. (Not directed at you).

You can go a different route of Zack Motte Highmore and so on and bring in a different bottom 6.

No problem with Motte. Highmore worth another look. MacEwen doesn't impress me at all. Sure he stands up for mates & the ofd fight but he disappears all too often. Very lil impact every game. Move on from him. So who are the new 2 C’s?
