Who knows?...maybe he wasn't thrilled being in jack's shadow all the time...maybe that's why he really kicked it into gear late last season (yeah, i understand there's that thing about the contract too)...

They want him to stay, we all know how much Sam hates the press, plus being emotional about losing.. perhaps he's ready to lead this squad, especially if Donnie is here. Donnie loves him and uses him exceptionally well.

It doesn't work on a lot of levels. We'd be shipping out waaaaaay more celeery than taking back. Also, MacKinnon is the face of their franchise. He has been an all-time great in the playoffs (especially for not having won anything). Quite frankly he ran into Mark Stone in this series.

he was definitely a Richard about it. I didnt feel the need to explain it to him after I watched him do it, gave him a spitter, told him not to do it again and he continued to do it.

I mean stone has 8 points in 13 games, underachieved a bit this post season

but put him on a throne because he got zero points last night and 3 in the 6 games series

I just find it funny that the 3M's are out, that was the main point of my post.

But since you want to go there, he had 9 points in the 1st series...awesome.

50% of his series 2 points game in a 7-1 game 1 blowout.

In games 3, 4 and 5 he had 1 point to let VGK back into the series and was called out publicly by his coach.

He did play great last night in a critical game 6, but proved to be too little too late unfortunately

He is a fantastic player who is fun as hell to watch play the game...like McDavid and Matthews are too...though, now they are all watching from home, each one questioning themselves for not getting it done.
