Looks like Denver has their own version of Harrington with some of these takes.

With Vegas in Avs' heads as they choke away series, the disappearing act of Nathan MacKinnon cannot be ignored. Your best player has to be your best player. My column: https://t.co/x0oqI1532N via @denverpost

Avalanche reeling against Vegas. If Jared Bednar can’t find answer, maybe he’s the wrong coach. @MarkKiszla explains. https://t.co/cMM2mcCY3T

kiszla spared no punches:
--these sweet-skating Avs would win the Ice Capades, but they haven’t learned the most basic rule of playoff hockey: Backcheck. Forecheck. Paycheck.
--Sakic must acknowledge these Avs are too much dainty Sam Girard and not enough Alex Tuch, a big, meat-grinder of a Vegas forward that charges hard to the blue paint and will blow up MacKinnon against the end boards without stopping to ask mother-may-I permission.
--The Avs are teddy bears that glide through the regular season. But the playoffs are a whole different animal, a grizzly bear that Colorado must learn to wrestle.
--But isn’t it obvious what Sakic needs to do?
It starts with the dismissal of coach Jared Bednar. When he needed to make strategic adjustments, Bednar instead tried to shame his players into fighting for every inch of ice. The problem? These Avs are lovers, not fighters. They are pageant material, not championship material.

Nice reed.
"When Adams says that he is going to move forward “with the people who want to be here,” the subtext of that comment is that Eichel is not part of the future if he’s ambivalent-at-best about whether he wants to be here. That lowers Adams’s bargaining power considerably with other teams."
I have to disagree, somewhat.
If teams want him, the winner outbids the others. It's not as if there's collusion going on here. Rob Blake isn't calling Bill Guerin, asking him what he's offering the Sabres for Jack.
And, imo, if 75% of the teams in on Jack are from the western conference, then Minnesota (for instance) isn't going to want Jack going to LA.
Just the way I see it. |

The metaphor of the Sabres front office as Daffy Duck, whose every decision he makes in the cartoons is the wrong one, is incredibly fitting. Well done. |

They should get some good offers but look what Green Bay is doing with Rodgers
"We are not trading Aaron"
That's the proper technique to maximize a return imo. Not "we want qbs who want to be here" |

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from, and that was an obvious shot at Jack, Sam and Risto. I guess that's the Buffalonian in KA. We're a proud bunch and no one gets one over on any of us.
But, yes, he's got to learn when to hold em and when to fold em, for sure.
Chalk that up to inexperience, maybe?
We're never going to win a Jack trade. Let's just hope that we get something in return that we can all live with and it strengthens this team's depth.
It's terrible that it's come to this. |

it's a 2021 2nd rounder which was traded to vegas for colin miller (it's now in the hands of the kings, 54th-overall)

Lol, I actually don't know where you're going with this. |

not going anywhere except to point out that ryan johnson is the only piece of the ror trade that we can live with and that added depth...
wasn't a swipe at you as i'm in total agreement with what you posted...my expectations in a jack trade remain tempered |

Contrarian here. I can live with Tage for depth. No?
We got bushwacked in that trade. But Tage turned it around a bit IMO. |
