Who else are we going to turn to? It's not like we have some wunderkid rookie defenseman that the coach doesn't trust for no other reason than not having playoff experience.

So where was this two years ago with Makar? Imagine if Bednar had said then, "nah we can't afford to just throw this kid to the wolves, it could cost us the series." How can you sit there game after game, and watch these two chuckle(frank)s shoot this team in the foot every single time they have an opportunity to go ahead in this series? How is inserting Byram now any different? He played in the regular season, he was fine, what changed? Oh, he missed some time because of an injury. So did Timmons. Makar was thrown to the wolves in his first ever taste of the NHL. These people are supposed to be the premier evaluators of talent and they don't watch the tape and see what the rest of us see?

Ya I don't know. I am far from a coach, but as you said, everyone but Bednar knows those 2 are a negative in the lineup... He just loves his "vets" too much sometimes it seems

Sloppy puck possession, sloppy passing sloppy sloppy sloppy... either the ineptitude or just carelessness with the puck is mind numbing. Seems like if the Avs can’t completely dominate, they don’t play well at all.
