Thanks Carol.

Canucks have a lot of young players on forward and defence. Jim said it was on him that certain players didn't take a step forwards last season. Shaw coming in looks like a step taken to help both coaching staff and players.

Thanks Carol.

Shaw is a great addition, Clark was an obvious one.

Thanks Carol,

As much as I like Seth Jones & Reinhart, the team should stay clear of a bidding war.

At a reasonable price I'd like them both!

It will be nice to see a change of style for the D and forwards that backcheck.

Good moves by the team. I think we could see a lot of changes in the management style .

I haven't heard anything official but I this these moves will benefit the Abbottsford team also.

I’d send LE & Roussel down.

Carol the Jones situation is tricky because its all about extending. Could be a draft day deal if CBJ likes who's available at 9th and want locked in Schmidt.

Benning could have come up empty handed or he could have overpaid for Pearson or someone else.

Maybe he did over pay for Pearson. (I hope not)

Benning probably went with the safest route which also made some of the players happy.

Pearson is good for 20g and 40 pets. Which is apparently 2nd line production. So it's a good contract

This

Right in line with the majority of established veteran 2nd/3rd line wingers in the league

There was a lot of input by Bo to bring him back. Jim said it at one of his meetings.

What kind of pets? The animal kind? Or is this some kind of locker room fetish? Team bonding/bondage?

Yes change by augmenting management & coaching is the type of investment ownership finally did after Courtnall consults.

Clarke can continue working with MDP and Silovs in season as Director. The Specialist coach might be harmonizing systems between Abby/NHL to benefit the bubble guys.

Great write up, I really like the resume Shaw brings, I also like the comment by Green that essentially states the teams systems suck, so he is happy to have Gustafson because he’s a sharp guy with systems, and he think having a fresh voice from that standpoint is going to help us as well.

Bravo Green, you score one in my book.

That’s subjective, your reasonable price might not mean the same to others or Benning, 🤷‍♂️

Hopefully we see much more structure from the coaches and more buy in from the players, leading to a better defensive game overall. Finding/promoting bottom 6 players that will actually contribute to the team would go a long way.

I like the addition of Shaw – hopefully Baumer's job is now just the hands on application of the new system.

Depends on what is reasonable.

Jones 7/7m
Reinhart 6/5.5-6m

My idea of reasonable. Reasons are term is long for both. I like Jones but not getting into a bidding war. He needs a good partner to be at his best. Reinhart a small shave to play at home. Fine if neither accept & move on.

Love it. Muller is runner up for Van coaching gig and Calgary snaps up our sloppy scraps yet again. What a joke
