I'm still puzzled by the narrative that our defence and goalie should have been better. - Atomic Wedgie
Stop using facts you will be blamed for being Tannereseque
But this. it boggles my mind and I think the Leafs are finally starting to (frank) with a lot of peoples brains on here. |

cause his suspension is over just like the Avs

There are only a select few on here that like to harp on Holl.
Funny enough when things don't go well those guys come out and harp on him.
It is hard to argue against him not being effective in his role. - Santo_44
He’s not effective. Muzzin makes him look better than he is. |

I actually like Holl. I think he's an effective player and he's probably gonna be targeted by Seattle in the expansion draft.

non issue when they were the top team, but add in 2/3 other teams who are just as good and better. what happens?
you cant just sit with your feet up and congratulate yourself. its going to get tougher next season...make the moves now - senstroll
Sure make moves to get better, and if a top pairing D is available and makes us better then great
But I am not actively looking to upgrade the D because it wasn't an issue, it was quite good.
I'd rather tackle the heart of the issue. |

They’ll take Kerfoot. We’re gonna be stuck with Holl in our top-4. |

Holl has gotten gradually worse as the season went on.
id expose him to Seattle for sure.
its fine if you can plug him on now as a bottom 5-6.
Leafs will need an upgrade in top 4 for sure

When Muzzin was hurt last year, Holl sucked. Not a coincidence. |

Me too. For the first time in decades they were good enough to win. Unless they were supposed to score all the goals too. |

He is underrated and seems Dubas thinks the same.
So put your feet up and enjoy watching him being on the team for the next few years |

Most hockey players are douchebags.
And I don't buy Kane is any different than the rest of them.
Would be a fantastic player for the Leafs.
Sharks should let the Kraken take Burns in the expansion draft and replace him with Rielly. - Santo_44
Uh? first you say its media driven, now you say most are douchebags?
No, most are not doucebags.

His fancy stats numbers don't pass the sniff test for me. There's something else going on there. |

It's going to be interesting to see what Dubas & Co. do.
One option is to go with protecting 4F, 4D, 1 goalie:
Tavares
Marner
Nylander
Matthews
Muzzin
Brodie
Rielly
Holl
Campbell
I'm wondering if Seattle will be interested in Kerfoot. He's kinda a guy that doesn't really check any one box, especially for an expansion club.
He only has two years left before being UFA.
He's not underpaid or overpaid.
He's not really "a strong veteran presence in the room who the kids can learn from."
He's not really top 2 line material.
Dermott may be more tempting. |
