it's definitely true, I just think the assumption that Nils is the one who will be moved is very premature - jimbro83
I certainly don't think I have the correct answers!!
But, going through this again,...
6 spots on D. Fox, going nowhere. Trouba, can't go anywhere. Lindgren, could be moved but I don't see it happening soon. Miller, hopefully going nowhere. Schneider, likely going nowhere. That's 5. So, Reunanen, Lundkvist, Jones, Skinner, Robertson,... all fighting for 1 spot.
Who goes and who stays? Positives and negatives surrounding any move there. |

Out of the players you list fighting for the last spot, Lundkvist might be the one who is ready to take that spot. Jones looked ok when he played. Maybe him? But I think the majority of them arent ready for the NHL yet. I think they are destined for a year in Hartford. Trouba has 3 yrs before he submits his list. Who knows. |

And Bitetto and Smith and Rykov and all the other non-factors. Hartford needs D, too!! |

That is totally possible. Maybe Jones. But, maybe Nils and maybe Lindgren. Hell, maybe even Miller. I don't know. But, if we want quality in, it takes quality out.
All I was pointing out is that a trade is coming and we have such riches on D that they won't all play here. |

Agreed. And, I think I'm on record that I don't want that.
I'm not trying to say who they will trade. But, if we want a top 6 center, we will end up trading a potential top 4 defenseman, plus whatever is needed to offset the inexperience factor. And possibly plus more to make a team pull the trigger.
The point is that we have what is needed to do that it and it doesn't mean the end of the world. |

With expansion draft looming, there’s more trade discussion developing around the NHL. The LA Kings could be a big player this offseason. The Kings are hoping to acquire two top 6 forwards through trade or free agency. |

The free agent market is pretty dry. Maybe Hall but I think he resigns in BOS |

Yeah, unless someone offers him nutty money. Isn't Boston up against the cap? Or close to it? |
