Forget Schiefele, PLD is the move. They moved him to wing and he hasn’t played well since the trade and being moved to wing. My only concern with him would be cost, they gave up Laine and Roslovic for him, I’d imagine the deal starts at Kakko+++ but if they were willing to go with let’s say Kravtsov Nils Jones 15th? Would be well worth it. - nyrangers9479
Why not let them keep PLD and go for the better player? If we are going to swing for the fences and trade guys that we would love having in our line up, I'd rather go for the guy I want, than the one who might be more available.
And, I'd imagine that they will want a center back, not wingers. |

PLD for Kravtsov Nils Jones 15th
Panarin PLD Kakko
Laf Zib Buch
Kreider Dvorak Gauthier
Rooney Kostin Barron
I’d be happy with that for opening night

The better player is PLD in the long run. I don’t think they need a center that’s why they switched him to wing. PLD has chemistry with Panarin, he centered him in CBL, has an edge to his game and is only 22. And before we start a Schifele vs PLD who’s better right now, yes in 2021 Schiefele is the better player, and maybe for another year or 2, but after that PLD will be hitting his prime and in the meantime will be very comparable. Maybe they take Strome back as a 3C or Chytil? |

Poor Nils, nobody wants him. I got your back Nils!!! i want you, lets see what you have before we trade you! - Brukie
I really don't believe it that the team is looking to use Nils as trade bait
I've seen nothing to make me think they are. and I've definitely been looking

I agree with you, I think the Rangers will want to see how this year pans out before making a big move, unless its for a center.
Im just saying that every trade proposal on the board includes Nils. In a few years hopefully we can look back and say "Damn Im glad we didnt trade Nils" |

Chytil could go in a package for Dvorak. I think Kostin could be had for a 2nd similar to Lias, maybe a 2nd and Pajuniemi who’s been playing very well the last 2 years.

I never said I don't want Nils. I would love to see every one of our prospects in Blue. But, it is simply a fact that we have more blue chip prospects on the back end than we do spots for them. So, if we can find a trade partner that has centers and needs D, that's our target. And you can't bring top talent in without sending top talent out. |

it's definitely true, I just think the assumption that Nils is the one who will be moved is very premature

Well if we have Nils, Fox and that dude JD jizzed about, he would be the odd man out eventually, especially with his contract. |
