I don't think it is a matter of what Fletcher thinks Patrick wants, or what Patrick wants. The story is that he doesn't want to be here. True or not, now the fans will be all over him every time he shows his face in public. That isn't very conducive to being a good player.

We have a lot of keyboard warriors (not you) in this forum who will say "suck it up, that is what he is paid for" or some such bravado nonsense. All the while we know if they were in the same situation they would be folding like tissue paper.

He will never play another game for Philadelphia. Mark my words.

I guess we’ll see. I do think he should focus on his game. I’m still not ready to write him off as a really good player in the future. So what does Fletcher do? They obviously wouldn’t get fair compensation for him. It’s a tough situation. What happens if he turns into a 65 point really good second line center? Not out of the realm of possibilities. And Fletcher only got a 3rd round pick after the organization took him 2nd over all? I just don’t think Patrick has earned the right to dictate. I’m not trying to be a key board warrior, that’s just what I think.

And I don't think Patrick is dictating anything. He is being run out of town by the media.

Isles are carving up the Bruins, not so much on scoreboard but on the ice.

That is true, to a point....unless it comes from the Player or the GM. Then maybe it’s not true. But I haven’t heard anyone deny it either. I would be disappointed if he’s dealt for pennies on the dollar.

Isles pretty much playing how we wish the Flyers would play...

Quickly
Assertive
Applying pressure
Coming in waves
Physical

Also, I know they have broken the line up, but Krejci + Hall ain't gonna cut it for their 2nd line if they wanna win again. They look like a Flyers line: punch drunk from the speed, tad slow in their reactions...

If Patrick is being railroaded outta town, all he has to do is issue a statement that there is no truth to these rumours.

I was never a fan of their depth, said earlier in the year nick Ritchie and Debrusk can’t be the next guys after the big group. Krecji has always been a playoff performer though, hall had a couple moments , that’s it. That’s gonna be buyers remorse big time whoever signs hall.

The Migraine issue hadn’t bothered him since he was 12 until the most current issue. The injury issues in his Jr. Career were well documented.....red flags for sure...and Flyers thought they were the type of injuries that were flukes....perhaps they were and perhaps he can get back on track.

And with all that… perhaps he’s just not good?

You look at the lists of picks over the years for a team, and what really jumped out to me was how very, very few after the 1st round even end up as a NHL regular, let alone a star.

Compare with the NFl, where a 2nd rounder is expected to be day 1 starter, and not on special teams.

- PT21

Raise the draft age and that will change. No need to have 7 round draft of draft age is 20. Probably only need 5 rounds. Would probably get at least 3 nhl players in 5 round draft of draft age raised

Kinda interesting, in a way, that the conference final is going to be Montreal vs The Icelanders.

Because of the strange divisions I believe it will actually be Tampa/Isles and MTL/LV-Col.

I can see the Isles smothering Tampa.

I actually think we are gonna see Colorado get upset by LV...though those teams are really pretty evenly matched.

Stranger things have happened but no... MAYBE the isles but I doubt it.

Price is amazing but I can't see how MTL can handle the depth of either Colo/LV
The isles are a machine but I don't know if anyone can slow down that Tampa team. I wouldn't be surprised to see it go 7 but I just think Tampa/Vasilevskiy are too good still.

Must be rigged how else could NYI beat Boston when they have nowhere near the top level talent as Boston
