With the emergence of thomas, kyrou, sundqvist, blais its probably money better spent for the blues to allocate Schwartz money to defense and add there.same goes for Hoffman and bozak imho.if thomas and kyrou can take a step forward in their careers then the others wont be missed and the defensive end of the ice becomes stronger for it.

Time to move on and give the "kids" a shot for more of a role
Still strong leadership - O'Reilly, Tank, Schenn, Krug, Faulk

Bye to Schwartz, Bozak, Hoffman

Hello - Thomas Kyrou, Kostin

Spend their money elsewhere

I would bring Bozak back on a 2 year/$2 million per deal if he would agree to it. Good vet guy to have around.

So happy to a writer for the Blues again! It seems like its been forever since we have, thanks for doing this.

So im not sure i would walk away from all 3 guys i think each bring a different piece to the team i would say lets see what they want for contract especially Bozak and Hoffman. I mean Schwartz would be nice to keep also but we may be up against the wall trying to sign all of them possibly depending on the cap. We will have to wait and see as far as that goes.

I think defense is going to be kind of weak this offseason just because i figure some of the nice pieces will resign with their team but here is the list i could find.

Alexander Edler
Dougie Hamilton
Marc Staal
Alex Goligoski
Jason Demers
Brendan Smith
Alec Martinez
Erik Gudbranson
Carl Gunnarsson
Braydon Coburn
Steven Kampfer
Taylor Fedun
Brian Lashoff

I agree we need the Vets on the team we lost too much Experience losing Petro, Jbo, Steen, Allen and we still need to find a replacement for Maroon.

If you want guys like Kyrou and Thomas to develop into top six players their is no need to keep Schwartz. Hoffman is one dimensional and despite scoring in bunches he does not bring much else. Kyrou is ready and Thomas has to stay healthy. Bozak on the cheap on a one year deal makes the most sense, solid 3C.

Moving on from Tarasenko would solve some possible cap Issues down the road but not sure how one could get that deal done, He's a great talent and under 30 but he's making far to much money and seemingly always Injured.
