Dumba has a M-NTC, are we on it

I believe that doesn't kick in until July this year.

Albin Eriksson and the first rd pick from the stars (somewhere between 17-20) should get them risto if they want him

Winnipeg has been interested in the past.

If we could get Copp for him that would be nice.

Attempting to identify trade value for Ristolainen is a very hard task. It depends how much Jim Nill listens to his analytics department.

We all heard the story from Burke where his team told him in no uncertain terms to stay away

All it takes is one guy to really like Risto

that could have happened last summer, not this summer IMO

Copp was one of the most improved players in the nhl this season

that was why I went with a later first rd pick and a prospect on the decline

Copp was part of my mythical Eichel trade to Winnipeg.

A risto trade could go either way. I mean how much more (if any) is he worth than Montour. I just don't know. It might be a similar return

It's gonna be interesting with any of these trades. LA could be a good destination for Risto

Great blog hank crags:

I think risto has the most value at next years trade deadline:

Playoff type guy, as hitting and physical play is more featured.
Less $
Teams are looking for defenseman prior to the playoffs.

2nd and a 3rd at the deadline IMO.

See you at 1st and 1st, I'll be wearing a viking hat

I mean Winnipeg can only protect so many forwards right ?

Scheifle, Connor, Ehlers, PLD, Wheeler are 5 of them easily.

Let’s say they protect Copp which makes sense, maybe we can try Appleton out of there ?

Thanks. Keep an eye on that Ty Emberson kid from Arizona if they do a deal for any one of the Sabres "big 3"

Potential McCabe replacement. Lot of similarities and good leadership

That's interesting, I'll definitely keep an eye out.

Something about arizona doesn't make them a good trade partner for eichel IMO.

lack of talent and picks.

Chicken run is outstanding and has a great contract, but he has to be untouchable?

I’d do that from a Sabres perspective.

Imo of course

Viking55 - who is terrible and the worst player in the nhl, according to some posters .... for

Appleton and a 1st?

Either viking55 sucks with no value
or he's good - 1st round pick /nhl established player

Run the ball, throw the ball too.
Stop the run, stop the throw too. 🤔

Appleton is just a depth player.

Nick Foligno and David Savard went for 1st rounders. Teams pay up for rentals at the deadline.

Winnipeg would get Risto for a full season.

So a bag of used pucks, some old ice melted and stored in plastic containers, and 2/3rds of a roll of friction tape.

I agree with retaining celery to increase the return.
How about packaging Risto with say ...
Um
Ahhh
Holy poop this roster fvcking blows

Should we chill the water in the event more ice repairs are needed?

A couple of times I was tempted to create a package but two things make that difficult:

1.) Risto's salary (as I mentioned in the article, Risto would be the last allowable retention prior to the start of the new league year)

2.) The Sabres aren't in a position to lose prospects/young players

That's why the only "prospect" I used was Pilut

Realistically, where is Risto perfectly cast on a playoff team or even a contender? 2nd pairing?
Is he a first or second unit defender in either special teams?
