Well just got back from PT at UB Ortho, funny me and my therapist have been discussing the Eichel situation. Gonna go on the offensive a little bit, what Jack did was hurt the Sabres, he has a right to look out for himself, but not devalue the situation at hand, he is still being paid handsomely by this Organization. Know any team that was looking to trade for Eichel is looking into this Surgery be it good in there minds or bad. There will be teams that still jump in but know some teams will take a step back. It hurt Jack's value anyway you put it until Jack can prove he can still play at a high level. IMO he bent the Sabres over a table and didn't bring Krueger stank's lavender lube with him.

A young franchise player dealing with this scenario is exceptionally rare in the salary cap era. These media guys have no basis other than what looks on the surface to be an untenable tire fire. It doesn't necessarily need to be, and until Jack demands a trade, it's not.

These were guys everyone knew where talented. Borgen, Bryson, and Olo were the only hits in his 3 year tenure, and the jury is still out on them. We've gone back and fourth on Olo, and I do like him. Just don't want to overpay when there are other holes needed to cover. If he comes relatively cheap, line up on the half wall and bomb away. No issue from me. We'll see how Botterill did drafting, a lot of his guys are showing great promise as well. We'll see what happens.

Sure, but he hired/retained the person who did. Indirectly, was a result of a decision he made. Like Taco said, as a GM you are the holder of many hats, and at the end of the day, it all rests on your shoulders.

I have a Tim Murray no (frank)s given shirt that I wear on occasion. The man resonated with me. The man was an Anti-Jason and a bad GM, but he was a blast.

During my interview with Eklund I mentioned my burning desire to interview Tim Murray. He made it seem like getting in contact is potentially possible

Peca barely played in the nhl

- Boss34

Yeah right he was already famous for hammering Sellane and sending him flipping thru the air, look it up. All time cheap shot but I love Peca and it’s hilarious to watch Sellane seriously do almost a full 360 through the air.

would you move risto and jack, extend skunk and make him captain?
- Michael Pachla

I move skunk this summer and get the best you can. I don't think he has interest in being here long term and if he does stay here it's because he was paid astronomically. Him and Risto fit the mold perfectly of those who don't want to be here, imo. If the practice rink manager wants to build around those who want to be here, those two aren't it.

Eichel cannot currently pass a physical.

Eichel is dead set on a surgery both his doctors, team doctors and NHL doctors do not agree with.

That surgery could leave Eichel as a shell of himself.

Seems like a giant issue.

- ImThatGuy

I think Eichel is trying to dictate where he gets traded to, before his NTC kicks in.

I think the surgery is half him threatening to basically not be healthy if they want to move him to Ottawa or something

Me thinks he will rehab and be fine if they tell him they are working out a deal with LA or NY

My take on all of this after digesting and doing some research....

Gigantic douche move by Eichel. I hate this wiener. Such a good player, such a typical Boston Mbumhole it’s not even funny.

The surgery sounds good - if he was (frank)ing 40.

Under no circumstances should a 24 year old man be removing a disk from his neck and having an artificial one put in. Especially since it was only just approved and he plays a contact sport.

He absolutely tried to beat the dead horse, and all of his pouting and actions are what should turn teams off from trading for him, not his injury.

Did Tim Murray hire/retain him, and did he listen. Again, the European scout pushed, and is the reason for the pick. Murray still employed him and wrote VO's name on the card. There's no debating that. Credit where it's due. He listened to his employee who pushed for something that he believed in, but was still HIS employee.

Kevin devine had full control of those rounds and didn't have to get permission from murray and the scout was employed by devine
