Everyone here - EICHEL is a stud. He is. You may have your fan issues with him but that does not diminish his talent. The next person who states that he is not viewed that way in the league does NOT pay attention to the league. NO ONE, NO ONE is saying he is anything but elite. Comparisons are made on the NHL Network to MacKinnon all the time. Deal with that.

In my opinion, there is hockey issue with the Sabres but the main problem is there is a Human Resources problem with the Sabres. Bad owners, make bad hires and meddle which leads to a bad atmosphere. Therefore, a toxic work environment.

I still think there is almost a zero chance that Jack gets traded. The Sabres hold all the cards. The only way I see Jack getting traded is for a seriously high return.

Is Eichel and Sam still here? If so, maybe not because they already have their Franchise 1C and possibly a very suitable 2C.

LA has a 34 to (at seasons start) 1C and aged Vets who have 1 or 2, maybe 3 season worth of gas left. They MAY want to take 1 or 2 last kicks at the can...adding in a player now who was running at 100pts on a complete poop show of a roster could put them back into contention...and have a proven 1C for 5 more years wrapped up.

I'm not the one who suggested it originally..I tweaked it to take a Cap dump of Quick and Kempe for Olo. Olo produced at 47pt pace this season (poop show) and 63 last season with Jack...that is the magic in including him with Jack.

Eichel cannot currently pass a physical.

Eichel is dead set on a surgery both his doctors, team doctors and NHL doctors do not agree with.

That surgery could leave Eichel as a shell of himself.

Seems like a giant issue.
