Jeff Paul: Depleted Knights Lose to Avalanche, Host Award Knight The Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche are jockeying for position in the Honda West Division. The Avalanche defeated the first-place Golden Knights 2-1 on Monday night in Las Vegas.

That was utterly gruesome and the Knights deserved to win last night. Not looking forward to a playoff rematch but hopefully if it comes to that both teams will be much healthier by then.

I hope that series comes to fruition because it will be a hell of a seven game series to watch.

There is no such thing as “deserved to win” if you deserved to win you would of won

GG though - avs are the deeper team if they met in the playoffs, also avs blue line is much better. Vegas has the goaltending though which can win a series

There is when one team badly outplays another and doesn't end up fortunate enough to win. It happens to every team multiple times all season long. It certainly doesn't mean I wanted Vegas to win, it just means I recognize we stole a game.

When the Avs play the Knights in the 2nd round, it will be decided on a game 7 OT Goal. That's how close these teams are...

You could be right on that and it would be fun to experience. FWIW, I believe Colorado SHOULD win, but Vegas can never be counted out.

I guess I just look at it differently. If someone is that much better than someone else they would of won.
