I was hoping the law of averages would work in the Penguins/Flyers case tonight. Washington had beat the Flyers 5 straight times. Hard to beat someone 6 or 7 times.

Great win for the Flyers. We had better not mess up tomorrow. If we win, that Washington/Boston game will mean a hell of a lot next week.

If Penguins win tomorrow in regulation, Washington would have to win both games in regulation to win the division because they'd have the tiebreaker. If either win is in OT/SO, we would win based on ROW.

1st tiebreaker is Regulation Wins (RW)
2nd tiebreaker is Regulation & Overtime Wins (ROW)

Right now we are tied with Washington for RW. However, if we both win out, they'd have 1 more. If we win out and WSH wins a game in OT/SO, we'd win the tiebreaker because we'd have the same RW, but we would win the ROW tiebreaker.

That 3-0 lead we blew to Philly and the useless loser point(s) we gave to Washington are sure hurting right now.

Aside from selfishly wanting Pens vs. Isles in the first round, who wouldn't want to watch Marchand vs. Wilson?
