Fair enough, but the regression of so many D is part of the issue. On another note i am not sure what people expect out of Giroux I think he did everything he could at his age, also Braun didnt have a bad year for what he is. I think they need to find a top tier goalie to push Hart so they dont have the weakness in goal, it is now time to see if Hart has the drive and talent to be number 1. I can forgive TK as it is quite often the case with the year after a big contract he should bounce back next year, also wouldnt give up on Myers, the guy can skate and has tools young right handed Dmen are a premium need to go through the bumps along way. But if CF can't make decisions or AV isnt willing then they need to go there is good talent available already said about Gorton, and maybe Claude Julien. I mean not drafting any Finns and Russians ( from the motherland not transplants) for 10 years is a big miss when there are so many NHLer's from there. That is on the GM!

With the 12th pick of the draft, the Philadelphia Flyers select: a natural born Finn!!

But do agree that one year deal would be madness
- goenzoy

Hellebuyck took a 1-year (frank) it i'll prove myself deal after a down year and it worked out beautifully for him.

And the Flyers QO'd NP and asked him to prove that he could play and now they're jumping for joy that they didn't bridge him last summer.

Not saying it's gonna happen, and it's a real gamble, but there are real incentives for both sides to consider rolling the dice on 1-year.

Pens have Carter at a 2.7 cap hit for one more year. Center, can skate 6'3" 217. Pens have just made good FIT trades over the years to stay competitive.

Bill, does Hart have any say on a new goalie coach? During the year I get the NyR feeds and the way valiquette was breaking down some of Harts issues (basically mocking the staff saying how is someone not talking to him about certain situations because there was an abundance of footage), it made the Flyers look pathetic.

Same observation here. Valiquette seems to like Hart and thinks he'll turn it around but definitely seemed bewildered by parts of his game.

Yea and maybe it is Hart that’s reverting to the bad habit but the way he was explaining it made us look pretty bad and then add in the kid ended up having to take a week off to gather his game.

Going back to arguing about Coots as a #1C, people really need to stop putting Stamkos on lists ahead of him, the guy doesn’t even play

Yeah, while he does know goaltending he doesn't know what's been going on behind the scenes with the team so I chalk the making the Flyers look bad tone to playing to the home fans.

I wonder if any of the issues are coaching-related? Look at Talbot and Mrazek and how they are playing since leaving the Flyers.

When you have an 87 in your team you're always going to have to make moves to be competitive.

Didn't the Flyers just QO NP before the season? Why wouldn't they do the same w/ Hart? They're in a cap crunch.
- Tomahawk

I wonder what NP would do if the flyers put an 8 year 700k per contract in front of him

[quote=Angus4444]A LEAGE full ? What the hell are you watching. Let the players handle it. Take the instigator rule out and Wilson would have to deal with it all night. When all those fights erupted in the second game all I heard was cheering.
- BroadSTmayhem[/quote

Yup, a league full (btw, check your spelling).

Ok , no facts from you = check spelling. Moron

You guys are gonna hate me and it’s an early game but Morin in my opinion is a pretty good defenseman. He shields guys off the puck pretty well. Uses his size. Not afraid of the boards.
