Palmieri in the lead. Hardly surprising.

Trotz Is a defense first coach and the best hockey coach on any planet so no one should be surprised that the Isles don't lead the league In scoring but this team Is more than built to go deep Into the playoffs.

I’m still sticking to my prediction that we go in hot to the playoffs even though we’re running out of time. Prepared to eat those words

He got my vote. I wasn't expecting an offensive juggernaut, but 1 goal and 2 assists in 14 games, combined with a -2 in the +/- stat............. he sure hasn't been a difference maker yet.

Its open season on NHL star players. NHL wants players to be injured or murdered on the ice they welcome it and celebrate it.

Torts was a defense first guy and rangers made deep runs. I think Isles have more firepower and will be dangerous this year.

Yeah he has been a disappointment so far. Holding out hope he starts clicking with someone.

Yeah, here's hoping they "turn it on" come playoff time.

Palmieri has done very little since he arrived. I can see what Devil fans have saying about him. He doesn't seem to be the same player he has been in recent past.

One of Zajac or Komarov has to be on that line

Palmieri and him have played together in the past I get it but come on.

He’s adjusting to the system and his line mates. Hopefully he is fully adjusted shortly...

Varlamov in net for #Isles
tonight. Lineup same as AM skate:

Zajac-Barzal-Palmieri
Beau-Nelson-Bailey
Johnston-Pageau-Wahlstrom
Martin-Cizikas-Clutterbuck
Pelech-Pulock
Leddy-Mayfield
Coburn-Dobson

Eberle, Komarov, Dal Colle, Greene scratched.

Ebs and Greene out tonight. I thought Greene has been good. Certainly better than Coburn. I hope he's not banged up.

I doubt it's anything serious. But he is an old-timer, and Trotz is resting some of the vets for the playoffs, so it makes sense to give him the night off, even if he's healthy.

I'm beginning to think that Barry and the players are resigned to the fact that they're finishing 4th in their division and don't really give a shat.

Both winning and losing can become habitual. I get wanting your players to be rested, but they've been struggling offensively for quite some time now. I get nervous about them taking the 'Don't worry, we'll turn it on when the playoffs start." stance.
It isn't always that automatic
