Yea I was wondering why that it seemed that Friedman was targeted by the flyers even earlier in the season. I thought it was just coincidence but obviously there's some dislike for him. I don't think anything should be made more of with Ghost(they gave him the penalty)but I thought it was just weird.

I think the argument for the hearing will be it was deliberate attempt to injure a player given the timing/circumstances of it. I still expect nothing more than a fine. I would go into that hearing and say 2 words. Tom Wilson.

I know eh. Hopefully there’s some modicum of skill. Dream world I’d say Evander kane. Personally I’d prefer D so that we get some crease clearers. Maybe Zadorov goes to ufa but someone will waste way too much money on him. I’m curious on a good list of useful goons though.

Kane would be awful IMO. Zadorov is pretty bad at hockey, but maybe on a cheap contract as a 3rd pairing?

I know he probably won’t be available, but I’d ask NJ about Wood. Someone like that would be best IMO.

He's done stupid poop at the wrong time. I don't want the Pens to be in a playoff series, he does something (frank)ed up, gets suspended and now we're losing a key player.

The fact that Friedman isn't out for six months on this play with an injury like Guentzel's is just pure luck. Ghost definitely should get a suspension for this.

That doesn't change the fact that Wilson should have gotten a season-ending suspension for what he did on Monday, though.

E. Kane, Tom Wilson, and Marchand are the three players I would be embarrassed to have on my team. I don't care how good Wilson and Marchand are and what value Kane might have. I would be both ashamed and nauseous to see any of these players in a Penguins uniform.

If the Pens want to go the goon route, get someone to play the fourth line that they don't have to play every night. Someone who's good for 15-ish points, costs no more than $1M and you can bench when you need to.
