The Rags cant run around trying to fight Wilson. They need to run around trying to hit Backstrom and Carlson with every questionable hit they can muster. That is how you send a message.

Your team mates are going to pay the price for your antics. Every Capitals player should have a target on their back except Wilson. Hit every one just a bit late, just a bit high, get the stick in their guts, the knee in their thighs, make it a miserable experience for every one of them and they will know why.

I doubt it actually happens that way, but that is how I would do it.

yup or both but start with their star players

I guarantee Wilson isn't afraid to fight anyone, he's smart enough not to take himself off the ice for 5 minutes when a goon is running around chasing him.
- PLindbergh31

I agree and disagree. I agree with what you said that’s he’s not letting a goon take him off ice. But at the same time, I can’t help but think of the one time Provy laid Wilson on his ass with a check. He stopped slashing Provy and (frank)ing with him after it.

How is he a coward though if he continues to play the game the same way? It's not as though he's not hitting anyone because someone wants to fight him. He still plays exactly the same, just doesn't take the penalty for a fight.
- Ftown19125

Taking out the inconsistent officiating and comic DoPS, when you continually cross a line of attacking vulnerable and most often smaller players, then are asked to “fight someone you’re own size” where the ground is leveled and refuse...Yes, that is a coward.

Personally, I don’t think you have to ask since he doesn’t ask to punch a defenseless player trapped laying on the ice. Just wail on him.

Ehhh I don't know that it's most often smaller players. He plays a physical game against everyone.

I don't like what he did to Buchnevich after he fell down on the ice, but as for Panarin, after he literally jumped on his back he's fair game in my opinion.

Yes. A roided-up dilettante has no business in the ring with who might be the best at his craft ever.

BUT, I hate both of them, so I suspect many 'hate-watch' ppv sales.

And punching Strome while down which is why Panarin jumps in...once again Wilson=get them when they can’t get you back.

I paid for Center Ice.
I did not even record the last two games.
It's less painful than even racing through a recording at multiple playback speeds.
Love unrequited leads to hate.
I hate this season.

- Pompous

I stopped paying years ago (Ctr Ice, followed by NHL.tv). While the profits go to the whole league it still means a share to the Flyers ownership. And I refuse to give them any of my money until they provide a better product. Now when I do watch I just use one of the free sites out there and cast (mirror the screen) to my TV.

Only bummer is when I had NHL.tv, I used to wait to watch the games the day after cause they would remove all the commercial and intermission breaks from the archived stream. Used to be more easier to watch when it took less time to see them sucking. Sorta like when you fast fwd (you can do the same with the streams but unless they updated it since I had it, it doesn't speed up the playback, so you were always in the dark when trying to ffwd).

So basically Wilson is manhandling half the Rags team. They get to take matters in their own hands in about 8 hours. Lets see what they do.

with the lack of character this Flyer's team has displayed this year do you get the feeling that maybe it's the Flyers, and not Freidman, who are the Richards here?

On the ice Freidman seems to be a pretty standup guy. I dont have any respect for Ghost after that cheap shot after a goal or that weak stupid crosscheck by Jake in response to the hit on Farabee. At least Farabee handled things the right way.

Me neither. Intimidating goons who don't play by the rules & are not held to any standards.

He may have some skill but that is never the topic at hand when people discuss him.

Kid is candle lit in the darkness.

I can’t figure out what happened with Friedman, but if I had to guess I would think both share some responsibility. Clearly, Fletcher chose to separate Friedman from the team.

Please no more Elliot next year. He is simply getting too slow moving post to post. This team needs a better backup in case Hart struggles again(or gets hurt) next year. Oh, and please find a way to get out from under Voracek's contract. And last, but not least please fire the asst. coach that is responsible for this dreadful PK!!! Thanks!! Oh, one more. Please sign a guy that plays a game similar to Tom Wilson's game without all the shenanigans!! Thanks again!!

According to BSH, we put up 57% Expected Goals last night. I know everyone pooping on defense again for that performance. But reverse the goaltenders and we win. I was at the WFC and you could feel the frustration in the Flyers shooters. And I thought Monday night would have changed all that. Team remains fragile despite occasional decent game.

This was more than a hockey scrum. First Wilson deliberately falls on Strome in the slot while his face is down and then punches him in the head. The he takes who he knows is Paranin and body slams him to the ice causing Panarin's helmet to come off, but then proceeds to slam Panarin's unprotected head into the ice again! Panarin as a result is done for the year. No, sorry, this was waaay more than a hockey scrum, this was something right out of the early 70s which I thought the league wanted to purge from the game? Well if they are serious Wilson should not be playing the remainder of this season or next season. Otherwise, like you said, the teams will have to settle it on the ice, and I am sincerely rooting for the Rangers to do so tonight, that's if of course the Caps has the guts to even dress the thug!

The negative: Factoring in expectations, not one team on this list had a more disappointing season than the Flyers, change my mind.

Positive thought No. 1: I figured this would be the hardest entry to write, but luckily for me, Charlie O’Connor basically covered this ground on the weekend. He came up with five positives, which almost feels like showing off, but I’ll flag a couple that caught my eye. For one, there’s been some good news on the prospect front, and with a high pick coming in, the pipeline will be in better shape this summer than it was a year ago. And that’s good because after this year, they’ll need it.

Positive thought No. 2: James van Riemsdyk looked good again, posting his best season since returning to the Flyers. After the first two years of his UFA deal, he was trending towards lost-cause status, so a turnaround at 31 is an unexpected and potentially important plot twist.

Positive thought No. 3: Carter Hart made my job a lot easier in the prediction contest. No? Not positive enough? OK, how about the fact that (as Charlie points out), his nightmare season will probably lead to a more manageable second contract. If you still believe in the kid — and I think you should — then that’s kind of good news, as long as you don’t think about it too much.

This 1000X

There’s another fine display of the veteran core leadership Scott is so happy to have.

This team is so f$cked for the foreseeable future

Weird I really didn’t expect Crosby to go off like he did.

Laine will leave the jackets, who will really want to stay there? I hate it for them but there is something about playing there that makes players want to leave. Then you have Tampa who will have to shed some salary, point is, no shortage of opportunity for Fletch to get something done.

Yes initially that is what I thought when Ek brought it up and I watched the replay a few times. I said, what's the big deal, the little punch to Buchnevich? But then I read more about the incident and went back and watched the reply again. It was then I realized it was a lot worse than I first thought.

I know what you’re saying. I also see him, when he wants to fight pretty much attack someone. And will goat others into taking penalties. If someone wants to go with him and he doesn’t I’ve seen him turtle multiple times. Also why I like Brady over Matthew. Matt has turtles as well in the past. Kassian didn’t care.
