Man why could we not make the playoff at least once in the last 6 years with this core to see what they can do when somethings on the line.
Reinfart is good. Will he be good in the playoffs? Why is he a second half season player? Shows up big when nothing is on the line and we are 10 games out of a playoff spot each year. Disappears in longs spurts 1st half of season.
I think these are the questions the front office should be asking when building a team. But we have no record of meaningful games for the last 10 years so its a guessing game
We usually guess wrong too 🤦‍♂️ - ZiggyBuff
I don't know why people diminish what is going on right now. The kids are playing important minutes at the end of games against teams that are desperate to win. If they were giving up late leads you might wonder about them but that isn't happening.

Talked to a friend of mine yesterday. At what point do you actually attempt to injure Wilson? This guy is going to Bertuzzi someone. |

Samson's lead the team in points most of the year. There was about 6 weeks where he was 2nd to him Olo, mostly because Olo had that string of PP goals early. Not sure this all checks out.
I mean, the kid usually gets going even more once the year gets going, but there's plenty of players like that. Sorry to jump on you, the old addage that Reinhart was dependant on Eichel seems to have been laid to rest, now it's that he's inconsistent. Not sure this one fits is all. - RhinoFan
I'm so glad this is one less thing we need to do here this summer.

Love that the kids are playing good! But our team is about to break the longest playoff drought next year. And we are suppose to hand out a 8mil a year contract to a guy that has been hear for 7 or those years.
Its a valid question. Every year we are on the hate Reinhardt bandwagon train early to mid year. We out of the playoffs, he starts producing and all we hear on this board is “ hes gonna get paid” “ Pay that man his money”.
Im gonna put my money on next year we will hate Reinhart too until we out of a playoff race. Please mark this post.... |

Sooner or later a player will do it, and it will be on the NHL for letting him get away with it for so long. |

Surprised it hasn't happened yet tbh. He's not Reaves or Chara, there's plenty of guys who can throw him around. |

If Coach K had put him at center in 2019-2020 I bet they would have gotten the 1 more point they needed to make the play-in round |

I don't know...he is what he is, and it's really not what the game is these days...however, intimidation is still a viable weapon in the nhl--get close to the crease, pay a price; d-man retrieving the puck in the corner, pay a price; head down, pay a price...
where is the line between hard-nosed play and dirty play?...it varies and blurs even more in the games leading up to, and in the first couple of rounds of, the playoffs |

after five years of consistent play where he increased his production in one facet or another but stayed in a pretty tight range, skunk seems to have reached another level as an upper-level complimentary player...which is great and also not surprising

kick it up a few notches in the playoffs |

I was driving to a concert in st augustine when johansson played his best game as a sabre and beat the jets 2-1
team was playing well with 15 points in last 11 games (winning 5 of 6)
then played a pathetic stretch to end the season dropping 6 straight and then squeaking a win vs the caps when the season got called
gotta think they as a team had no clue if they got in the top 12 they could get in a play in round, otherwise the entire team would have played more inspired hockey then those last 7 games

Grabbing panarin by the hair and slamming him to the ice. If Panarin landed on his head instead of his shoulder, Panarin could have died. That's beyond dirty. I'd give him the Torres 40 |

The Boychuk hack on Vanek that sent him to the boards and the R!chards check from behind on Connolly took out Buffalo's best players and led to Sabres defeats |

"The NHL has suspended Tom Wilson for the remainder of the regular season as well as the entirety of the 2021-22 pre-season. He is eligible to play in the playoffs because he has promised to be a good boy" - George Parros, probably |
