Been thinking basically the same thing. Last game we played the Rangers we came away thinking that they were on top of their game. Suddenly the Caps owned them. Now we look good again. It seems that while the Rangers have a bright future, they are clearly not a playoff team yet and we should accept no illusions from this matchup.

Caps are very physical and fast. A formidable matchup for any team. Rangers have great youth with speed but not much toughness. Once they add some grit they’ll be very good. But not remotely close to the caps as a matchup. Nonetheless we need to stay tough and finish this out.

And they typically have. It's the tougher matchups that they're struggling with. The Rangers allow a lot of space, which the Isles have taken advantage of.

Boys are skating, hitting and playing with desperation. This is the game they need to play game in game out and they will make some noise.

They are just skating Keaner, pretty relentless forecheck which we haven’t seen not to mention the zone exits. What ever it is I hope they keep it up as it’s a hell of a lot better than it was. I am hopeful Barry keeps these lines together for the last run here to the POs and let the boys get some consistency together.
